I think this is really nice~ but he loks kinda uncomfortable... like he's leaning into the middle too much and is about to lose balance and fall off a chair or a bench or something... = = just my thought, no offense intended... ^^ must be my failing eyesight and lack of artistic knowlege... haha, your model is cute~ I wish there were some kids like that in my neighborhood.

Oh,I really like this photo!
The only thing I can really nitpick at is the cropping. I feel like the picture isn't complete or something? It's hard to explain. Like you cut him off at a weird place. Like I want to see more of him. Or..wait,maybe that's something else altogether that's bothering me 8D

i don't have a super cool premium membership so i can't do the "official" critique but i'll just post it here XD.

Pluses:
The exposure is excellent. there's only a little highlight on his fingers but i don't think it's distracting or necessary to fix. other than that, the shadows in his hair and camera and highlights of the wheat and surroundings are exposed perfectly. the lighting in his face is also excellent. it's very nice and soft and really adds to the mood of the photo. it also smooths very well into the shadows of his jacket. i also like the pose a lot as he really looks like he's trying to get a photo with is vintage camera. u can tell that there's something out there that he's really interested in. the pose, along with the camera and surroundings are all in balance very well. it mixes well with the expression in his face and "expression" in his hands.

Things to improve on:
i will admit that not much needs to be or could be improved with this photo but i personally am not a fan of the angled crop. i find that most ppl do it when they can't think of anything else to do so they just twist the camera and hope it looks "creative". i'm not saying that's the reason u did the crop but what the crop does here is make all the lines point down to the bottom right corner. i think its great that his eyes, angles of the camera, camera lens, lines of the background and lens are all pointing in the same direction but i don't like where they're pointing. it's also great that the model looks like he's looking off into the distance but when u draw a line to where he's looking, it's into the bottom right corner of the frame. keep in mind that the lines of the photo and the gaze of the model doesn't necessarily end inside the frame of the photo, it keeps going sometimes into infinity. think about if i had tilted the crop of this photo: [link] it would've looked like she wasn't looking off into the distance anymore but down into the ground, even if she wasn't. don't be afraid to get more background or surroundings into the frame. the other thing is that the focus looks like it's a bit more on his cheek near his hairline than his eye. the focus should be dead on his right eye. ur camera may be back or front focusing a bit and u may want to check to see how ur lens is focusing. otherwise try to get the AF square as on the center of the eye as possible or be very careful when u recompose as this may change the focus due to lens curvature. it's not totally off, it just looks a bit off...

in terms of the framing, i would say to take a bunch of landscape and portrait photos with different angles (not that u didn't know that already, haha!). overall, it's a great photo so don't think that it's not. my personal taste is just to not tilt the framing ^_^... anyway, hope that helps and keep up the great work! XD
