Day Five Zero fo the Three Six Five Challenge of 2011

A milestone of the 365 challenge, the 50th day. I don't have
any special feelings about it, so let's get to the description:

Recently I've searched facebook in a bit more effectively, looking through the pages of my friends, and sadly there aren't many who like books.
This is a big problem in our world I think. In my opinion one of the causes of aggressivity is not having read enough in our lives.
Books can teach us so many things,

I read. I like reading. Reading's fun
I've been reading books since I was around 5. And by the age of twelve I had around 3 bookshelves full of books, sadly I had to give lots of them away as my parents wanted more space in the house But they went to charity so it's alright.
Anyway now I am nearly 15 and am reading through my 4th Austen book as I just love the way she expresses her view of life.
Woah... I went off-topic. Any way I agree, lack of reading and the enthusiasm of reading has brought down the intellect, the docility and the matureness of today's youth.
I know for a fact that the "chavs" and the agressive students in my year have never read a book and if they had it would hav been a picture one, yet the students who are willing to learn grasp onto all the resources available to them and try their hardest.
Now I've gone extremely off-topic; so I'll wrap this up.
Thanks for the art: an instant face

It is sure fun! I love reading too, I'm obsessed with dreamy-bit surreal books, like the ones Cecilia Ahern writes. She's one of my favourite. I heard that Austen is pretty good as well, but I haven't read a book from her. I'll after this comment, promise!
Don't worry about going off topic, it's all related to books, and even more books!
I have a friend in your age, and she hates reading so much, that I've borrowed her one of my favourite (very easy and funny) books, and she hasn't read yet in a year! I'm very sad about this, that I can't even make her love reading. :/
But I'm happy for you, that you're so obsessed with reading.

You really should check Austen out ^^
Yeah it is a shame young people don't like reading as much as they used to do; but we cannot do much about it Oh well...

Gondolom, milyen meglepő lehetett. Amúgy én is észreveszem ezeket a dolgokat. Van egy 15 éves barátnőm, már adtam neki könyvet, hogy legalább azt az egy könyvet olvassa el életében... dehát. :/

People really should read more books.
The have to read them on paper.
The have the smell, the feeling, the sound.
I really love books.
I can lost myself in a book, in the story, in the paper.
Nice picture.

well as a writer you want people to read your things too...

and you know I just find that in todays world you might as well pick up as many books as you can and read them. Most of them wind up becoming movies later on hahaha

Love it and the reason behind it, couldn't agree with you more that people do in fact need to get out and read.

It's as if the books are just demanding they be read!

For me, all books demand to be read, they have this strange effect on me. Hypnotizing.

This is awesome. I like the manicures style, and the handwriting on the cardboard..
Also the yellow-ish taint of the picture.. It just makes me want to grab a book and read it.

I love reading, so relaxing...
What I love about this image is that you are truly know that to read is like an obsession,
after you finish a book you just want to read another one and then many others

You are right. I love books very much, those are my no. 2. passion (after photography, of course ). My favourite part in reading that I can imagine the whole scene and no one tells me how it should look like.
Thank you for your comment.

Read as in "you should read" or as in "this has been read"?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Bucikah In reply to namenotrequired [2011-05-26 07:13:38 +0000 UTC]

Well.
The first meaning is you should read.
About the second one: I've read most of the books you can see on the photo, but there are some which are just photobooks, and some of them are used in school (like the green one above my hand is my maths book)
