Are you interested in making some? They look surreal in the real world. Its not as good as owning the Amiga TURRICAN games though Thank you dearly for your comment!

Nah, I don't know if they are sold in my country and and I don't have the skill.
Well, do you own an Amiga and/or a Turrican game?

I REALLY hope you have some in your area! If not, may be I can send ya some? I never had the honor of owning any of the TURRICAN games ( except the closest one is the rebranded "UNIVERSAL SOLDIER" version for the Sega Genesis) Right now I only can pay with a Money Order, so my ebay chances are cut of... until I get my new crdit card and Paypal account...

I really appreciate your kindness, but I'm just not much into this kind of thing and I don't want to make this a problem for you. You can at least make something marvellous out of it.
Universal Soldier... Not much to be said about that, except it sucks. Remember that you can always use WinUAE to emulate Amiga games!
Aww. That's bad. I wish I could be of some help, but I don't have such accounts either.

LOL!! They are VERY FUN TO MAKE! I'll tell you! You build them, and collect them! TURRICAN WILL NEVER DIE! NEVER!

How do you make that giant ones? Do you have that many square frames pinned together, or is the outcome still nice, if you iron several parts together?

I have limited squares, so I Iron may be 4-6 squares together at a time, then take those ironed sections, and iron them together into one larger part. If you compare my bead sprite to the original image, you will notice that the abdomen area is wider in my version, because I over ironed some sections a little more than others. Ether way is more or less the same, for me, its just less stressful to iron small sections, carefully, a little at a time and iron these smaller section - in rows, or columns - into one large mass. The only tricky part - for me - was trying to keep an "even" ironing between each smaller sections, because when you Iron those smaller sections all together, thats where you get bit just like I did. Good luck to you, and I am really excited to see what you come up with in the nearby future!

Hah, I found my old beads... Still have to order new ones. Quite expansive for a bag o' plastic!
First I thought about using those huge ones, but they do cost even more (and the outcome would be too huge for room decoration).
So I'll do some Turrican stuff for the kitchen cupboards, and an X-Out scenery for the bathroom.

WOW! Yeah, they do add up on cost.. I remember two orders that were little over $70 each, around $140 total for the TURRICAN III sprite but they are worth it and they would make a great focal point of your area. I wonder if small 1/4" wooden cubes would be a neat thing to do-HOWEVER-Smaller sprites are just as nice as the larger ones. I am so excited to see what you will make for the Turrican and X-out scenery... ROCK ON!

Small wooden pixels would be great for a complete wall... But then you could use colored tiles just as well, which are even available as mosaic kits.

I think I saw some mosaic kits somewhere... I'll have to look into that. Mosaic sounds good for floor tiles!

Thehe, I'm imagining a hallway with mosaics on the walls, floor and ceiling, simulating textures of DooM II. How cool is that?!
