Description once you're in, it's hard to get out...

---------------
I watched the movie "Panic Room" and the cinematography is amazing in that movie. There was a still shot a lot like this so I tried to recreate it as best as I could. Thanks ~goteki for modeling.

I remember the shot, I remember thinking that it looked really good at the time.

Nice job.

Yes, I like this very much.
But it doesn't only give me sorrow, which I guess is the intention with the picture (once you're in, it's hard to get out). It also gives me a feeling of joy. Reminds me of good times. Getting drunk with my girlfriend(well, now exgirlfriend) and passing out on the bed.

Great composition and focus. I think you've really got your message out and that's what it is all about, that and pretty shiny things. There's just one thing that annoys me a little and that is there is some dirt on the glass. The photo in itself is so clean and then that almost invisible stain, it would be better without. Excellent piece of art!

as i sit here, drinking my wine and thinking of sleep - i worry about this 'cycle.'
and then i am stuck in that mint green fish scale pattern on the mattress
and the upside down window in the wine glass' refelection
that amityville arch (whose architectural name escapes me)
with the blackfinger tree limb crawling across
and those dead georgian roses frozen
in milk white mauve time.

Incredible shot.

I do have a question that no one can answer for me though. How do you get the pale, muted colors like that? Theres like a very slight blue tone to the pic, and its driving me nuts that I cant figure it out.

Anyways, great work

HEY! congrats on the daily deviation!

(I just added you to my dev watch list like, last week, so this almost feels like a personal victory somehow... LOL)

*Tosses mad amounts of confetti for you*

and not only that, but I love this picture. it's fantastic. The reflections on the glass look awesome, and the rumpled sheet just set the perfect mood.

Well done!

I haven't seen the movie everyone is referring to, and I'm glad I haven't, because I can appreciate this on its own merits.

This is an utterly stunning photograph. I don't think it "tells a story" at all - rather, I think it evokes a score of questions, and invites judgements without making them.

Yes, as others have noted, the execution is flawless (and yes, as others have chimed in, you make me sick with how good you are), but it's all the ambiguity that makes this a real show-stopper.

I don't know how much of the concept was inspired by the movie, but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt until I learn otherwise. This is premium by every standard.

that has a real stong emotion comming off of it that somebody just got smashed outa there face at a wine and dinner party and then just could not take it anymore and died on there bed... the reason why I saw die is because... well look at the hand... I think that that really shows it.
