Description
Here's my fan art featuring both TV series XJ-9(Jenny) from the NICKELODEON cartoon series "My Life as a Teenage Robot" meeting the original XJ-9(Jenny) from her debut pilot cartoon "My Neighbor was a Teenage Robot" off the podcast series "Oh Yeah! Cartoons" I thought it would be cool if final design Jenny had a chance to meet her early designed self and would give leteral meaning to the old saying "reflectons of the past".This near complete fan art is special to me for many reasons. It's my first fan art submitted to DeviantArt, my first art jam entry and it's the very first time I've ever drawn a nicktoon.
I have been a fan of MLaaTR ever since it debuted. But when I heard creator Rob Renzetti first made a pilot of this for the show Oh Yeah! Cartoons, I had to check it out on veoh.com. I was wowed how somethings in the story changed while things stayed the same.
So when I read that started an art jam featuring XJ-9(Jenny), I figured, why not! My one regret is submitting it in without completing it in Adobe Illustrator. I lead a very busy life at work and was afraid of not meeting the deadline. But some day I will try and complete this fan art.
So I'd like to dedicate this fanart to XJ-9(Jenny)'s creator, Rob Renzetti.

I also seen that old Oh Yeah! Cartoons cartoon too! Genius prototype show that Rob made that spawned this!

Not bad, not bad at all. :3 I notice the prototype looks slightly more feminine BTW.

Being my fisrt MLaaTR fan art, I had to try and do it as professionally as possible. So I read and viewed Rob Renzetti's model sheets for XJ-9 that are conveniantly located here on DeviantArt. They were the best references one should use when designing his character correctly. I don't know if he would've wanted them here on D.A. or not, but I'm glad I found them.
I've also seen every episode of the show, which helps me know what makes Jenny tick, Literally! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! The original XJ-9 was more difficult since all I had to go by was the pilot cartoon itself that I found on Veoh too. Still I'm glad the rough turned out okay.

Where is the model sheet? I would like to have a look. And I suddenly like MlaaTR last month, don't know why but I love it! Jenny is a cool character since I'm a fan of robots.

Thankyou very much, I see all those cartoon shows and feel depressed of how big the world is, and I can only sense a single of it. All those cool stuff and stuffs....I would like to know more of them every day.
Thanks for the great insperation!

I like these past meets present scenaripos. It's like the Turtles Forever special.
Good job.

I thought the idea had potential too. And yes, I thought the Turtles Forever special was a great example. I hope you saw the directors cut. And I hope to complete this little fan art scenario of mine someday.

I'm glad you liked my incomplete MLaaTR fan art. I really hope to finish it someday. But can I ask for some honest opinions please? Do you think Jenny 2.0 should shake with her right hand so that Jenny prototype can use her right hand too while grasping the mirror frame with her left? And do you think the set up should be in Jenny's room with a magic mirror, or perhaps Wakeman's lab with some sort of trans-dimensional portal machine? Any advice would be appreciated.

oh , none of those doubts affect your drawing
its the idea that is good .
the hand or the place are not important

Very well. Thanks again for your opinions! I'll see if I can finally wrap this one up before the year is over. I had my heart set on doing a Phineas and Ferb fan art too. I use Illustrator for detail, but it can be time consuming. Plus my job will make me a full timer, which means even less time to do what I love. But I will try to finish it first and try an original robot girl art for your challenge too Damn it!
