Here my Redesign of Pollo the Robot for 's contest: [link]
(English is not my mother's tongue, so please excuse my excessive use of dictionarys and strange Capitalizations.)

Due to my love for the original Design I wanted to keep the crafted style. The rectangular layout always looked like the robots from 1940's 'Superman: The Mechanical Monsters' [link] or from 'Captain Sky and the World of Tomorrow' [link] so I didn't change that part very much.
The Cross on Pollo's chest always confused me, so I changed it to the Ankh - a little reference to Dr. Fate and the symbol of life. (Symbolism!)
Pollo's new collar is kind of taken from Crow T. Robot's head and it sort of looks like a cape. Capes are always awesome.
Pollo's new 'beak' is like the monitor of 'This Island Earth'. [link] ('This Island Earth' is also the only MST3K-episode published in germany.)

Pollo's new arms and legs are hoses.
To be honest: Pollo's red eye always looked fake, mainly because it was. So his new 'eye' could be an oblong Hole with a red luminous diode and a little switch on the inside. (The inside of his head should be painted black.)
Two legs and feet help Pollo to sit, his bind rail-hands can hold items.
