This time I tried blending the digmon art style with the "realistic" style I have been trying to learn. This one was fun to work with because I got to create the body models for these characters with guidance from the requester. It was an awesome chance to make multiple different body types and compare them to others.
For those interested in back story. This is a team from the requester's upcoming story. Apparently they are a commando-esque team, each with their own partner digimon. It is supposed a photo of the team, off duty and just hanging out.
From left to right their names and digimon are:
Eagle - Lunamon
Nightshade - Lilymon
Thorn - BlackRenamon
Ursine - Ludomon
Aeon - BlackGatomon

On requests
I am always accepting requests. It may take me a while to complete it, but I will eventually.
While I have a preference for 40k and digimon requests, I accept just about any subject.
My general rules are as follows:
No M stuff, with exception violence in a 40k setting. No nudes!
The more characters you ask for the less quality you get. (I don't have much time to work with)
^[This Rule isn't the harshly enforced. Really, it depends on my mood.]
If you are not specific, I will either ask for more details or wing it.
I treat every piece as a study in something different. So essentially I am always trying something new, or at least trying to deliberately improve something
Please always send a note. It makes it easier to keep track, and I like to surprise my watchers.
Once released, you are welcome to post your request on your page. Just remember to mention me!

I was kinda hoping to have this one released when I finally got the first chapter done, but I guess this works XD
I like the teaser Digimon for this image and the fun little hide and seek you have going on with them. However, I only see 4/5 of the Digimon with Lilymon being the missing one. (Unless I'm blind e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="
The heights for everyone looks pretty good, but there are a few things anatomy wise which seem a bit off. The first one would be Nighshade's er...crotch, females shouldn't have bulges down there XD otherwise she looks pretty good overall.
Secondly, Thorn's shoes seem a bit childish for his age, maybe some boots or simple lace up sneakers than a pair of sketchers? His left shoe also seems a bit off to me as well. He also seems to be fondling himself with his thumb, which seems a bit off, along with the wrist flabs which don't really fit (Nightshade's right also has this a bit)
For Ursine, his proportions fit very nicely and I love the expression on his face. However, for the muscle of the group, his legs look smoother than when I had to shave mine for swim team. A little hair might help along with some more muscle definition for those who are showing leg (Nightshade, Thorn, Ursine)
Lastly, Aeon 's right thumb seems rather short compared to the rest of her fingers and her shoes also seem a bit off, though the color matches nicely. Also, her sunglasses look a bit too much like those seen on a Librarian, giving her an oldlady sorta vibe. I could see no sunglasses fitting a bit better.

Aww man, had I have known that I would have let you know. To tell you the truth I was kind of concerned you were going to release it any minute, so I was dedicating more time to it than usual. Ah well, I guess that gives me more time to get the other requests done!
Oh lilymon is there. Let's just say, she's a little out of focus. I don't want to give it away just yet, but you had mentioned something in our communications that I applied to this piece.
...I can't unsee the bulge now. I'll, uh, fix that.
You know it's funny you mention Thorn's shoes. I had a little story in my head that Rune had actually bought the shoes as the gift, and Thorns really dislikes them but is wearing them to be nice. I'll fix them up though.
Tell you the truth, I didn't know what the heck went wrong with Thorn's left hand. I had meant it like he was casually thumbing the waistline of his shorts, but it end up awkward instead. I'll see if I can unfondle that, if you will.
Those wrists are pretty gross, easy fix.
It makes sense that Ursine would have some extra body hair. Ill make sure he doesn't skip leg day. I'll tone up all of their legs, and maybe add a little hair to Thorn's legs too.
Man, Aeon's left hand is freaking me out now that you mention it. That really needs to be fixed. Shoes are an easy fix too.
I actually took Aeon as an old soul. I'll cut the glasses out, but don't be too hasty in disregarding the sexy librarian look.

Sorry about that, I'm still in the process of correcting my older works, I'm having to change more than I thought because I style has also changed quite a bit over the years. Sadly, I haven't even started writing the first chapter (I have the later ones done for some reason though) but I have a plan for it.
Is she in the blur? I sure can't seem to find it XD
I know it's a lot of small things, but I know some people take offence when you try to critique their work and I figured it better to be a bit cautious. Overall though, this is a pretty complex piece and it turned out fairly nicely overall. Its just the awkward things here and there that need work.

I would imagine starting something is way harder than continuing something. I think that's why so many shows "start" well into their own narrative and reveal the origin in piecemeal.

Honestly, I only ever get annoyed if there is nothing offered to improve the piece. If someone says that it is bad but does not say why, I take that as a waste of my time, which does bother me.
Constructive criticism on the other hand is wonderful! I never understood how someone is bothered by someone else trying to help improve their work.

Well, I did write the prequel part way through the story to give some more information. This story hasn't been linear in creation by any means XD

Glad to hear, I'm the same way. If someone just doesn't like it, it doesn't get you anywhere. Artwork and writing is a lot about improving here and there while getting input from other people on how to improve.

I was thinking of lending out Servomon's tamer. I don't know when I'll ever get to writing the story she's in, and it would be a shame if Servomon never gets some kind literary exposure.
