It's very pretty. The red is a bright symbol for such vanity; the lips, the nails, then the lipstick.

This is a great photo and I really like the message, idea and concept portrayed. There is a softness and glow about her that almost seems unnatural, but it works well for this photo because it goes with the concept. Her expression is also great and she definitely looks like she is self-absorbed and vain. Great job!!

I Like it
The lighting is nice, and the background is plain and non-descripts to keep it from distracting from the subject, but there's still enough of it there in the picture to kinda take from the picture. Maybe if it were a different color, so it won't blend as well with the subject, it would become more purposefull in that sence. Also, the little light in the background, just behind the right side of her head, distracts since there's nothing else like it in the picture, and since it's not even entirely whole (makes me wonder what's back there XD) Since you're just starting (with photography anyway, or so you said) some other things you might want to consider in the future is using different and interesting angles and closer shots (or purposefull BG)
The use of black and select colors is very effective and tranquil^^ The pose is interesting and cool;
I would guess that your focal point aim was either the lipstick or the lips, since they're the only red (eye catching against the soft, kinda earthy warm colors) The level of detail is excellent^^ Your compostion is great, as is the lighting^^
Both the lipstick tube,and the arm and fingers, (and even the light colors in the hair) act as nice leading lines^^ The lips, being 'surrounded by nothing' (if you get what I mean

That's an excellent pic. The pose, the way she seems to be looking at herself rather lovingly, the fact that her skin looks almost unrealistic... Just great, pretty meaningful.

Well, that helps make it look even better, the way it appears to be so perfect it's fake, it really adds to the feeling of the picture. It's a good thing.
