I always hated the Healers’ Den. Every time I started coughing, or I got dizzy, Dad or Papa would drag me there. And I’d just listen to everyone else playing from my nest. I never made many friends because of it… I was really lonely. That den was always someplace I dreaded going.

But lately…

I have nightmares. I can’t focus on my training. Heck, I can barely leave Uncle Arty’s den. And when I do, I end up wandering here.

That same place I hated so much – the Healers’ Den.

It’s quiet. Familiar. Comforting, almost.

…

I don’t want to be a gladiator.

I don’t want to hurt anybody.

I-I don’t ever want to be one of those voices calling for blood!

Uncle Arty said it was okay if I took a break from training for a while, but…

I don’t… want to go back.

…

If I could just stay here, that would be good. I know some of the herbs already ‘cause I’ve had to take so much, a-and I can learn the rest – I can help! I think. Maybe…

Maybe that’s just wishful thinking.

But… I do want to help.

I wonder if Miss Opal would let me try.

Daniella's Healer Apprentice Tryout!

and my first high rank tryout hhh

Since a certain gathering, I imagine Dani has stepped away from her gladiator training. That got me thinking about where her arc would go next, and this is what I came up with!

What she wants most, I think, is a way to be useful to Lightning -- her family -- without having to do any harm. Healer training would be a good way to do that. And it would probably help her to heal as well.

Also I should do lineless more often. xD
