PROTOTYPE SPOILER.Screenshot from the first cinematic. Also, found a pretty good quality video of the beginning of the game. Obviously contains spoilers. This has to be my favourite cinematic of the whole game. Note, that the video contains violence and gore.

I also watched Karen Parker die, well, not her death, but, it's the video's "subject", when Alex Mercer has his revenge. I was a tad disappointed. Anyway, here's the dialogue of the video:
"All clear." - MARINE #1
"My name is Alex Mercer. I'm the reason for all of this. They call me a killer, a monster, a terrorist. I'm all of these things.
Three weeks ago someone released a lethal virus at Penn Station. I woke up in a morgue. Now I hunt, I kill, I consume, I become. I'm going to find out who did this to me. And I'm going to make them pay." - ALEX MERCER
"Ghost 3-9 to ground. Do you have target in sight? Over." - MARINE (not present)
"That's negative." - MARINE #1
"Help!" - WOMAN
"Freeze!" - MARINE #1
"Help me! Help me!!!" - WOMAN

I still don't understand why they killed an innocent woman. Is it because of the BLACKWATCH creed? Or they don't take risks against possibly infected people? Well I felt sorry for her, anyway.
I wonder how you actually finish the game. I couldn't get gold on all events, but is there something extra? Like getting rid of Hives forever? But would that result in people getting bored? I sure wouldn't. I get my laughs from discoveries, hehe.

Blackwatch and Marines are different things. But in the intro or whatever, you don't see Blackwatch, you see Marines. If you paid attention, I already told you: it's in the subtitle. Of the game. So I didn't make it up. Go check it out for yourself if you don't believe me. Otherwise, please stop posting this comment as it is becoming irrelevant. Seems more like flaming me for something that I had already explained to you. With reasons and evidence. Have fun now!

Someone made a typo when typing up the dialogue subtitles in the beginning cut scene. Just because it's in they're doesn't make it true to the game Also when exactly did I flame you? In lalaland I guess. Blackwatch and Marines are two different factions. They refer to each other as two seprerate factions. Logic fail on your part.

I wrote what they did. They fail - I fail. Still, I'm not going to alter it because they messed up.
You don't like it, tough. Get used to life not being what you want it to be. This is just a screenshot, for goodness' sake.

That wasn't Karen Parker that got shot, it was just some girl. If that's what you were thinking?

Karen Parker is Alex's ex girlfriend that betrays him so he kills her in a secret cut-scene. She is said to be "repulsed" by what he's become. Fat cow got what she deserved

Um, I know it wasn't Karen Parker who was shot. That's why I'm shocked at what BLACKWATCH are doing. They're unfair, even to healthy people. What I was wondering about, is this: "did they shoot her because they take no risks whether she was already infected with no signs of the virus on her yet?".
Karen Parker also works for Gentek and because of that, partly for Blackwatch, thus she helps them create a parasite which later disables most of Alex's powers. As her "project" is done, she disappears, and you're able to kill her through a series of events (Military Consuming Events). You can locate her after a while, and then there's a cinematic, but her death isn't shown. What if Alex actually spares her life, just makes it miserable?... I'm twisting things now... my mind, too.
But in the elevator she was all "OMG OMG noes! lIeK hez gunna k1ll m3!!!" Yeah, she's an awful bitch.

lol I see what you're saying. But the girl could of been infected. In game when you use that one infected vision power sometimes you even see normal military/blackwatch soldiers showing up as being infected.
As for Karen Parker, this book I have says she did it to save her life and as I said before "She's repulsed at what he's become".

Since Prototype is a Trilogy, we can only speculate. But In a Web of Intrigue, Mcmullen says that if Alex don't know anything about himself when the virus took up, they could create some memories. Karen maybe, isn't nothing of him. I'm on waitnig 8D

It's not confirmed is it's going to be a Trilogy or not. But hopefully.

Well, the game got lots of blank points, and got so much money that they'll do a trilogy.

Can you give me a link, source or tell me where you read that it's confirmed? I'd love to see it for myself. Only a rumor "If the game is a success". Would LOVE to see it to be true.

Actually, was how i said. They've said that the Prototype franchise was a trilogy, but it would continue dependant on how good wuold sell.
