I just saw the helmed version and I would agree with your friend. There's something about how the character will loose his individuality once he dons the helm. But both pictures awesome. Makes me want to think that Bethesda should have made different more versions of the different armors. Some with only one shoulder pad, or none at all, like the steel armor.
