Had this idea a while back and decided to revisit it.
Project Mega: A re-imagined Megaman universe.
An alternate universe where there is a great war and the robot masters are actually human soldiers saved by the miraculous Dr. Light and Dr. Wiley with their research on advanced prosthetic technology that allow soldiers to return to combat.

Squad Zero is a special forces combat unit lead by Captain Blue of forgotten elite soldiers who have been set to "retire" but have been given a second chance to return to duty under new code names.
SGT Kutogawa is a paratrooper of Japanese descent; codename: Cutman
Cutman shattered his legs completely when he made an abrupt landing after being forced to jump from a plane that was shot down
Thanks to Dr. Wiley and Dr. Light, he was able to receive new mechanical prosthetic legs that allow him to continue his duties. His specialty is running, jumping from planes, and making surprise stealth attacks. His main weapons are 2 scissor blades that are able to cut through cords and chain that secure cargo loads if need be.
He wears a special helmet that allows him to breathe at high altitudes; it is marked by a special emblem that is a reminder of his lineage of samurai.
