Yesterday's speedpaint practice. "Django Meets Castlevania!"(Only those who've played Lords of Shadow knows who waits on the other side! The game is damn good so I suggest you guys play it, because the ending is a show stopper)

Character from Boktai: Django is a boy who is a vampire hunter wielding the weapon known as Gun Del Sol (Solar Gun), and with it he sought revenge for the death of his father. In him flows the blood of the greatest vampire hunter of all time (his father's blood). He makes cameo appearances in the Megaman Battle Network games and his Gun Del Sol can be found as a battlechip to combat against Shademan.

Ah Boktai love the games. But you have to feel bad for Shademan he's one big reference. You have his BN version which references Boktai which is basically Castlevania+Metal Gear. And His Classic self is a nod to the other capcom game Ghost N Goblins.
So Megaman, Boktai, Castlevania, Metal Gear, and Ghost N Goblins. Sheesh!

I was wondering why no one did this crossover yet. It's a perfect fit. I'd expect this before MegamanxBoktai. I'm not bashing that at all, i love it, and that's how i discovered Boktai, but why is there not more CastlevaniaxBoktai?

Actually the MegamanxBoktai is expected because Django was designed to look as if he could fit in the Megaman world. At the same time, it was because he is Megaman inspired because the creator of Django and Megaman are friends.

Really? I thought it was becuase Kojima's son was a huge megaman fan. At least that's what i read. But even so, you have to admit it's strange there's been no huge CastlevaniaxBoktai because Castlevania is one of thier bigger titles, and they're both vampire hunting games, yet, Boktai has been reduced to cameos in Metal Gear Solid.

How is it not a surprise? Not trying to start an argument, but i think it's wierd. But you do have a point. It wasn't overly popular, so they did cameos in more popular games to get publicity. But still, they should have a boktaixCastlevania crossover in some game.

Cameos are cool, but games like brawl do a better job showcasing the characters and sparking interest in the characters, which allowed Nintendo to revive characters like Pit. Although the cameos of Django did spark my interest in the games and where he originated from, it didn't fully garner my attention to the point where I would decide to go out and buy the game. That's the same type of mentality that would affect the sales of game companies. Although I understand where you're coming from, and konami is the parent company of both, I think overall the type of image they wanted to get across for both games would be different, so a crossover might not be what they want to show. Respectfully it's their choice, but I'm just a guy who likes seeing characters like Django all badass and standing up to other badasses like Dracula.

And since they put Snake in Brawl, i'm holding on to the hope that Django or Lucian might make it into a future Smash Bros. Slim chance, but i can dream.

Slim, but possible. His Final Smash would be Sol or Black Django. It should be like when he's in Final Smash mode, Down B is transform like Zelda and Shiek.
