Funnily enough, there already IS a shinobi-style AU in the Marvel multiverse. It's called the mangaverse and in it, Venom is also an Oni-like creature.

They are both utterly, absolutely incredible . . . ever think of doing full-body portraits of them? Especially love the web-constructed shuriken in Spider-Man's hand and the ink splatter flying off Venom like blood after Spider-Man slashes him with the web-shuriken.

Zetsu controlling Obito was pretty much a Kishimoto version of Venom.
