Description
My first tutorial~!This is random..becuase when I finished this drawing,I suddenly felt the urge to make a tuto..dunno why..xD
So Ive been asked by countless peeps about how the heck can I draw using a mouse..
I'm too lazy to open photoshop and edit..so..here<3
Just scroll down below, and read the steps.
Ive put that linework layers there because I wanted to tell you all that I really use a mouse, and I'm not fooling you or anything.
Lineart part:
-When linearting,I use the 'curve tool' to 'trace' the sketch.
--It would be easier if you'll make a different 'linework layer' for the 'eyes' , 'hair' , clothes' and 'face/neck/leg or skin' part.
Coloring part:
-When youre done with the lineart, click the 'wand tool'.
--Then,just select which part you wanted to color.
---I suggest making 'folders'/'sets' for the 'lineart' 'eyes' , 'hair' , clothes' and 'face/neck/leg or skin' part to make things easier and organized.
*using the 'pressure tool' :
-After all the selecting part[when youre done with the coloring],go back to the 'lineart' folder/set.
--Click the 'pressure tool',then, you'll see little dots.
---By dragging a dot to the 'left' , the line that that dot holds, will be thinner, and by dragging the dot to the right, the line will be thicker.
----Drag the dot[s] to the left,of course,so that your lines will look soft..or it will look like it was drawn using a tablet.
Shading part:
-Why my shadings looks neat?[I guess?]
--I use the 'curve tool' and 'pressure tool' when I shade the hair and some parts of the clothes.
---[Hair]I first use the 'curve tool' to shade the hair, its up to you where to put shadings, but I suggest to look for the 'light' or 'dark' part/shade of your drawing.
----Same thing as the lineart, use the 'pressure tool' to make the line's thinner or thicker.
-----Drag the the upper part of the line of your shading to make it look pointy.
------Other parts are just the same, and for those parts that cannot be shaded using the 'curve tool',just make another 'layer',clip it,and use the 'pen tool'.
Add some lights by creating another 'layer' and picking 'luminosity' by the 'mode'

I'd hate to ask but could you do a video tutorial? *It doesn't have to be a voice tutorial.*
I really love the coloring btw, reminds me of the old 80's/90's anime style cell coloring.Β Β

Nice! Β I was wondering though: the final frame has that distinct light highlight in the hair (the light blue which arcs across the hair). Β How do you do that part specifically? Β New layer? special tool? I personally find that, that one part can really make a picture "pop."

'New layer' then change the mode to 'luminosity'
Use a darker color that your base color then just use the 'curve tool' to add the arc/highlight,use the 'pressure tool' if necessary.
