Nice overall feel. Horizon line not being straight bothers me a bit and the sky would have been nice if it was darker to add more contrast, but it's still got merit. Nice one.

The sky is as pale and washy as it is to add effect. The foreground is darker and clearer as the point of the photo in my eyes was to convey the bleakness in the view. The horizon line is slightly off of straight (180 degrees) as the wall is quite slanted. I do believe it was 1.10 degrees off of horizontal so not sucha biggie for me. Thank you for the comment.

Guess it's the graphic design crap making me go on about horizon lines I did like the effect the sky, i would have just made it black, try inversing the colours in the sky in photoshop just to see how it looks

Hmm, yeah maybe, but i prefer to not really edit my stuff in photoshop as all of these are done on film. Keeping it traditional.

Brilliance!

Loving the fog/mist in the background: that along with the guy looking out ties in really well with the title, giving it an almost expectant feel. The capture of the seagull in the photo also adds a nice touch to an aesthetically pleasing whole.

Very nice work.

I love this.

I think the hazyness in the background just makes this picture. (Oh, and the seagull.)

Also, I just love it when a photo comes out like this, with a bit of grainyness.

Well done!

You know, if only when actually standing there life would be that peacefull and reflective. Instead, it's a constant hustle and bustle, even in such a dull place as Hermanus. For some reason this picture doesn't fill me with solitude, but it reminds me of how I miss it.
I never find a seascape dull. And gloomy is very nice. I like how the background is almost one colour, and the foreground stands out so much.

Is that the wall that runs along the top of Hermanus, above the sea? Sorry, I'm still shocked that you are taking photos of somewhere I was a few weeks back. The difference being I was 6000 miles away from home!
