whats high film grain? some mode on the camera or special type of film or just low lighting long exposure??
why would people want grain? curious

Grain is the way the film is slightly "bitty". Grain film is different top normal film ikn the way that the crystaks which get exposed to light on your film (and thus make your negative) are much bigger. This happens in high iso film which handles low light conditions better because it is faster. Grain is kind of an arty thing. You can't really understand it unless you've gotten into the whole black and white thing.
