Setting: Pridelands Time: Kiara’s reign

Roho and Hediye walked into the Prideland’s border. They travel from the Tree of Life, sending their prayers to Nafsi for their Grandfather to have safe travels to her realm in the stars.

Now, they probably should have waited to go with Malaika and their parents, but those three are busy preparing Malaika for her role as the leader of the Night Pride. Only, Makini knows that the two cubs have left the Tree of Life. The old baboon was smart, and sneaky indeed.

Little did Roho and Hediye know that after Simba’s sudden death, the Pridelanders became more aggressive to outsiders, and became more defensive…

Furaha; The fastest, went up to Tumaini; the Fiercest, and told her; “Two unknown lion cubs are near the northern border of the Pridelands.” Kito rolled her eyes. Mti elbowed Kito, glaring at her.

“Then we must go there!” Tumaini decided. “But, we cannot harm them. Kito was about to say something, but Mti stomped on her friend’s tail.

“Why?” Mti asked. Tumaini sighed.

“No other animals should die so soon.” Tumaini replied. The others nodded their heads in agreement. Furaha took off, with the others following her.

They soon reached the spot where Roho and Hediye were.

When the guard came out, Roho and Hediye became defensive. Furaha rolled her eyes. Furaha then stomped on Kito’s tail again to keep Kito from saying something stupid. Mti and Tumaini watched from the distance. Kulala; the bravest, stepped in-front of Roho and Hediye making sure they could see her.

“Sisi ni sawa.” Kulala said to them. Roho and Hediye callmend down.

“You’re not going to hurt us, are you?” Hediye asked. She gave the new lion guard a curious look.

“Not at all. We’re the lion guard, we aren’t meant to harm any creature.” Kulala laughed.

“Ohhh!” Hediye sighed of relief, “is Tumaini here?”

“Yep! Over there!” Kulala pointed to a pale lioness. Tumaini looked exactly like Kiara, except for her green eyes.

“Tumaini!” Hediye called, going over to her. “It’s me Hediye. Roho and I came to show our gratitude to King Simba.”

Tumaini smiled. “Of course, this way.” She lead Hediye to Simba’s grave.
