Actually, in CB radio slang the term for a Volkswagen Beetle is a "pregnant roller skate." www.cbslang.com/dictionary/pre… I guess this makes since if you look at the older models where the front is elongated, so the hood is the "toe" of the roller skate, and the curved back is the "belly" behind the "heel" of the skate.

And, no, I don't believe in trains/automobiles getting pregnant. (How would that even work?) This is just meant for humor.
