this is a scene from the Battle of the Labyrinth, the fourth book of the Percy Jackson series. i actually made an effort to make them look younger than i usually draw them. ya know, cause they're fourteen in this book and all.

dear burdge-bug,
i i could draw like you, i'd love myself a heck of a lot more. if i could draw like you, i'd have something else to do besides drool over your drawings. if i could draw like you, i'd be a queen among my friends, and loved secretly by my enemies. my happy moments are when i find one of your drawings i could look at forever and a comment from you that keeps me laughing every time i read it. my jealous moments are when i find one of your drawings that you say you need to fix, but that i couldn't draw ever, even in my dreams. my sad moments are when you say, 'i think i'm going to scrap this', and i think, 'if i could draw that, i'd hand it in my bedroom and never take it down'. in my mind, and i'm sure, in a whole lot of other people's, too, you are described with many praise words, but the best i can think of right now is, AWESOME! don't stop drawing ever.
