Description This is a picture for for an art trade oraganised by

I chose Vic because... grey skin is cool! And since my style is so different from the style of the ref I used, I decided to just go all the way and use the optional theme of "the future", and make him even more different so this is his future self, he's supposed to look about 19 but here I guess he's in his mid-late twenties? It raises the question of whether or not an animated corpse can actually age, but.... laws are meant to be broken. I may have gotten his personality not right.... but I wanted to have it look emo for some reason

I hope you like it

I love how you draw him :3
( And the reason why you choose him in particular, kufufu ~ )

Well, grey skin or not your art is still as beautiful senpai ~
I love how you plays the contrast on his clothing to bring out his I-just-wake-up-from-my-death look xD
The pose looks very natural, and his open mouth and lost look is really cute ~
An up for the mountain thing in the background of the background, it's great :3
Since I'm training you to receive criticizes without crying here is my little critic : The brick behind him are a bit to straight and organized to look real. BUT I love how you use a salmon brush to make it looks a bit older and used by the wind and time.Β  The shadow is really well-think, I like how it's a bit rugged. It brings out the "real" feeling of it.

Thank you! I had the emo-look in my head for this character, so the oblivious, open-mouthed 'deep in thought' look firstly came to mind so that's what I went for Glad you like it! I thought the colouring on the clothing was sub-par, but I think I was overthinking it again and really it isn't any different from usualΒ

Oh.... well, after a five minute break to cry about you insulting my bricks Β I will admit you are right. Bricks look most accurate when they are a little scratchy and imperfect... but in this case... I really had to use the line-tool to draw the bricks, because freehand would have been waaay too hard. Of course, having used the line tool (which, in SAI does not allow for scratchy texture) it came out looking way too crisp and smooth, as if it was like a paved wall in a futuristic laboratory... I added a few stray lines and imperfections to the bricks but was too lazy to edit it enough for it to look natural

Astute observation... you're right!! Thanks for the comment about that, it only made me cry a tiny bit!

Yup emo-look is nice on him And open mouth are sexy as hell so... XDDD
Nope frankly I like how deep you use your red, as I'm a sucker for this particular color and I really like how you applied it <3 So not a sub-par coloring, believe me :3

Duh. I'm always right senpai. As you are while commenting my drawing actually. So. Even? xD
I like bricks. This is a background I wouldn't mind doing more often, if it wasn't so long for me to put it off xD ( And if I wasn't such a lazy ass as well ^^ ). But please senpai, don't cry! I'm going to be obligated to find my weird alien spatial device to fly to your home like a creepy stalker, then stuff you with chocolates and cookies. Believe me, that doesn't sound too bad, until you will meet again your weight device ( dunno how to translate it, and my dictionary can't help me. Hell! ) again. Then you will cry again, and this cycle will be eternal. Best to avoid it, no?
Personally I use the line-tool on my sketch, then while lining it again I stop using it and do it by hand. As I have a model-layer it's easier to draw straighter lines, and I cut it a lot with dislodged, or broken, or just not-perfect bricks.
But, I can't really fault you for being lazy. I am too xD

Anyway, good job on this drawing senpai ~

Loool.... I don't want to spam you but this message was way too hilarious...

I can now accurate state this is one of Alfatina's famous quotes of 2017:

"I like bricks."

Yes. Bricks. If I was not such a lazy git then I would have done that. I would have used the line tool to do the sketch, then drawn over the lines by hand so that they turned out a bit scratchy and realistic. Those would have been the NUMBER 1 bricks of all time! And I did consider doing that, then I thought "no way, I'm way too much of a lazy git..." so I drew them the wroooong way.

If you got in your space ship and flew over here to give me chocolate and cookies, I'd probably be in love with you... because I LOVE food. I want ALL the food, all the time. but I guess I would cry when I stepped onto a weight device....................... yeah, at first I forgot what that was called in English! I don't blame you! In English we usually just say "I weighed myself". But I think the machine is called a "scale". Or "scales" or.... something.... crap.... I can't speak English... English is really stupid.

Let's make a vow to draw greater bricks in the future!

xDDD
You know I haven't found my comment so hilarious until you pointed it out xDDD

Background in general would be better if we weren't lazy person. BUT. Whatever xD

OH MY GOD that's it I think! A scale! Weight scale? Human scale? Urg! This word personally wronged me >.<
( I will draw you food someday. Maybe. Just to imagine you salivating in front of it. )

" I wow to draw greater bricks in the future. I wow to draw bricks in the future. One day I WILL DRAW BRICKS!! )"

OMGGGGGGG Golly, you sure nailed it! This is SO amazinggggg! You have made my dreams come true because I cannot draw anything that isn't chibi! Thank youuuu~~

It ok, I don't mind you breaking laws of reanimated corpse! Uuuuuu I love this so much! Vic being all emo in the future is just wonderful. And LOL, even if you drew him as "a pile of bones on the ground and some mush", I'd still be happy to see it!

He look great! Besides, anything can happen with anime characters! Even if they are dead, they still might grow older it's way better, than drawing a decomposed fellow Β

Hahaha... that made me think of a "future" drawing of a reanimated person, as just a pile of bones on the ground and some mush... though the character's owner might not be thrilled with a picture like that....
Ha ha ha thank you so much! <3
