this looks awesome i could only image how terrifying it would be to see this magnificent creature in front of you or across the plain if they still existed, where they carnivorous?

They were omnivores. They would probably be eating small animals and leaves or filter feed in the water. But I can imagine they would be dangerous if you threaten their young like any ratites by using their claws or beaks. They were also really fast and lived in herds
