Description
I ended up liking this one a lot more than I expected.I wasn't thinking about it at the time, but this was probably subconsciously inspired by McCarty Photoworks .
Taken on 100iso Kodak Ektachrome.

What can I say, this is just awesome. It's great photography that includes a toy robot, i mean, what could be more awesome than that. Gutsy little guy isn't he. He's so tiny, yet the words "DE-STROY. DE-STROY" come to mind. i love it ;D

I really like the perspective and depth of field - makes for a very nice effect. The whole shot is nicely composed and has great coloring as well. Good stuff!

Haha, it's a transformer, right? Guess he's gonna turn back into a car and park, hehe. Or he's leaving from having been parked. Whichever

Haha I like this. He looks like he's gonna take the whole huge place down in his tiny fury. Even though he might be better suited to take down only one of those scraps of paper lying around.

Quite true... lil guy's a bit of a Napoleon, no? Though I hear that guy (Napoleon) was actually 5'6... which, I mean, it isn't tall, but far be it for me to call a man of my own height "short."

BurlapZack In reply to DanaDay [2006-04-13 16:30:00 +0000 UTC]
Really? Man, I would think 5'6" would have been kinda tall for the day.

Thanks man! I was trying to find a suiting place for this fellow, somewhere he'd feel at home.
Ektachrome, just some Kodak slide film that I picked up at a clearance center. If you can find one near you, it's a good place for cheap film. It's expired of course, but unless it's over 2 years expired, you should be fine.

What kind of stores are clearance centers for this kind of stuff?
Does the expired film produce any different results?

BurlapZack In reply to piccolo [2006-04-12 04:51:06 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, film warehouses and the like. As you've found, ebay usually has some expired film up. I know Wolf Camera has a few clearance centers here and there.

You have a serious thing for small toys in your photos don't you? I've noticed that you have a lot of deviations with toy soldiers, toy robots... why don't you try some toy cars?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BurlapZack In reply to SouthTown85 [2006-03-27 16:51:32 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I've noticed that lately myself... I think I must have been looking at the McCarthy Photoworks webpage too much, it's begun to seep into my work.
Toy cars might be neat. I could use perspective to make them look life size. I wonder.
