Description
This is a painting I did for the latest Drawing Jam. It was done entirely in Photoshop CS5 on a 12" Cintiq tablet from photo reference.You can see the reference images and check out the jam here: [link]

i'd love to have a Cintiq but here in Brazil, it's quite impossible for me, nowadays. I searched in the internet here and the cost is R$9.000,00 Its like it's price would be USD 9.000 in the USA

Yeah, sadly it seems to have gone away quite some time ago. Β It was great while it lasted, but old-school forums are becoming a thing of the past now that we have social media sites like deviant art and art station.

When it is some other artist/photographer who is easy to contact, I would ask permission. Β For stuff from more mainstream media where the owner would be more difficult to contact, I wouldn't. Β Either way, it's completely legal to use a photo for drawing reference. Β
