Description
I did a relatively quick lineart work of Professor-Potate 's girl a while back, and decided to do a color experiment thing with that. That part was not terribly quick. The hair sorta defeated me, and I phoned the shoes in after that. I didn't feel like doing a background either. That in mind, any criticisms welcome!Edit: Here's a screenshot of the reference material I had up while working on it, in the state it was in when I finished. (www.dropbox.com/s/1n3yose2g8ce… ) Might be interesting.

Sai's layer texture thing is super nice. With the socks it was like flipping a switch that made them look twice as good.

I'm glad you like them! I've looked to your work before to figure some of this stuff out, actually.

Only criticism I got is ---- GIMME MORE! Ha, ha! This is fantastic! Line and color both! Just enough curve where needed by my personal standards...so often artists over-do the amount of realistically workable weight...but here you've got the ample leg size balanced with just enough tummy...then you went and added a fantastic face and pose with beautiful colors and then shoes...always be loving a woman naked or scantily dressed and wearing shoes...no clue why...just a personal fave...and here it is...WOW! Love the attention to detail on the knees and lower thigh muscles with the coloring as well as the top of the right thigh line marking the hip-to-leg area...belly is very realistic. This is without doubt one of my favorite pieces from you!

Heh, thank you. Making these sorts of imbalances work is pretty fun. I was going to add in a background to give a bit of context to the workout clothes and give some opportunity to play with scene light reflection, but by the end of it I was just too sick of staring at the thing.

I run into the same thing. Sometimes it's like you're in a race to finish before you burn out on it. It's one reason I work on so many various series all at the same time...trying to prevent burn-out on any one particular one. Again, though...fantastic work!

Sai's water brushes are crazy good at blending if you set them up right. Those and mixing in red in specific shaded areas are what made the skin work at all.
