Wow! This photo just feels so right and I love the scenery and how everything in the background helps you to focus on the woman! Great shot!

Thank you so much for liking this one! It's an older shot, but I always liked this one.

I use the 40 mm with Olympus 35 sp, the 24 and 90mm on a film or digital Nikon camera, but I sold the 90mm to buy a Leica IIIF...But the voiglander lens wich i prefer it's the 420mm f4.5 heliar for large format, but it's another world...
And i would like to buy the 21mm for my Leica...
But for now no more purchase

I see. I think you know your gear quite a bit better than I do. I've honestly never used anything besides a 35mm DSLR. I'm interested in using range finders, but I'm very lazy with getting into film and I can't afford a digital one right now.

wich lens is it ? Not a Nikon lens ? Voigtlander ? Really sharp lens !? Are you happy with ?

It's a Voigtlander 40mm f/2. I love this lens. I almost never leaves my camera! It's very sharp wide open, it's very small and light, and it produces a great quality image. The only caveat is that it's manual focus only. I love shooting with manual focus so it's perfect for me, but for those who prefer AF, this is a major drawback. However, I am a major proponent of using MF for street photography!

Ok cool thank for the information, voigtlander made good lenses i love the 90mm apo lanthar for portrait and macro, and i think the 24mm and 40mm are perfect for street photo better than the 35mm but it's just my opinion.

That is a fair opinion! Are you using them on m43 or M Mount?

I still wonder how they can put so much layers (even for a yukata...I had like 3 layers u__u without counting the bra and pants duh !) when Japan is sooooo hot and humid during summer....
Anyway, nice shot, so quiet and soft. there's also a intriguing perspective between her and the metro entrance, I would not be able to explain though ;;

I can only imagine how hot it gets. Even though this was taken in early May and it was a relatively cool day, I would still be way too hot in a kimono.

I love your picture! The moment you have chosen to take this allusions between the past and the future.

Ah yes, I can see the same woman but instead of a phone, she has a book in her hands, and the background is old Edo. Thanks!
