Such a cool and creative capture! I love the reflective table taking up a little less then half the lower portion of the image, giving us an interesting element on top of an already cool scene. I love the stride of the man Great work !

Thanks! I love that it looks like a table. It's actually a pool of very still water. Glad you like it!

An incredible work !
The light and colors are soft, the whole thing creates a a very polished picture.

I don't know what kind of kitchen magician magic you perform in Photoshop, but I really like how your work comes out so strong, clean and sharp on top of all the other attributes they enjoy.

Thank you! People ask me this all the time but I barely do anything in Photoshop.
I wanted to actually show what I did. Here is a large image of two screen caps with this photo open in Camera Raw. The top is the raw image and the bottom is my settings. I did not change the settings in any other section of Camera Raw. Only the first tab.
Check it out: sta.sh/0lgvp92nyzt

Really interesting that you get this result decreasing vibrance and increasing contrast. Β Thanks so much for posting the sta.sh files.

No problem! I like decreasing vibrance to reduce that odd cast that lands on everything. The white balance is also important to that end. This gets the nice rich blacks and well separated colors. At least that's the idea behind it.

Tried your approach with these two images.Β Thinking about it.Β This was an overcast day so the light was defused.

The first image is great! My shot is also on an overcast day. I think this adds a certain amount depth if the conditions are right.

I'm going to keep trying your approach.Β My camera setting are very different from Nikon output and I'm shooting with a 4/3 rds system.

Yeah, I think each camera manufacturer and even different models output very different raw files. I tried playing with my friend's raws from a Fuji X-Pro and it's totally different.
