Description
I just really love shots like these, which is why I guess I take so many like that. This was just some yellow flower that I picked up off the ground.Related content

At least you have given us a different view of the flower and the sunset. Flower and sunset pictures can be so boring. Not the real things of course. But most people don't try to be creative with these things.

I'm a big fan of silhouettes and I was trying to shoot for a partial one in a sense. Plus I just love messing around with lighting. But I do know what you mean about how people don't really try and you end up with that cliched look. I've seen sunsets with flower shots a billion times on da and its always refreshing to try something different.

Yeah, everything was yellow basically. From the sun to the flower to the tinted sky.

Normally I feel like flower + sunset = corny, but this is so perfectly done I really can't come up with any complaints. I like how it isn't quite a silhouette, it brings out the texture. As an odd coincidence I feel like your sn would be a better title for the piece.

Yeah, I know how cliche shots like these are. I mess around with sunsets a lot though. And now with the sun going down a lot earlier, it really comes out that with that orange color. And yes, texture is a big thing for me, it allows someone to see how it isn't a perfect flower.

i really like the colour scheme of this.....and how the tiny bit of blue up top contrasts with the rest. the sun peaking through the petals is absolutely magical.

I shot several different views using this flower and the peaking through of the sun. But I liked this one the best.

Hypnotizing huh? I don't think I've ever heard it described quite like that.
