Description
Cosmo faints one afternoon and Tails takes her to the hospital, where they find out that Cosmo is expecting their first child. Tails is initially trying to figure out how it even happened, but Cosmo manages to get him to relax and just enjoy the moment for now...Characters belong to SEGA.

My answer is that they're both humanoid versions of their respective kingdoms (animalia and plantae), and plants are capable of incredible feats to adapt to changes made to them and their environment...
...also the unpredictability of Chaos Energy itself has to do with some of it...
