If you have ever heard of the oculus rift horror game, Hello Puppets, this is what this is based on.

But as for this picture, I came up with this idea while watching playthroughs. It's supposed to be an "x reader" type story.

Now onto the story.

So imagine a few years before Mortimer Handeemen Studio caught fire, y/n once worked on the show and helped design the sets and everything. While y/n worked on the show, y/n’s favorite character was Mortimer himself since he would always make them laugh, compliment them, and even kiss y/n’s hand as a greeting. Y/n told Owen to knock it off but Owen says he doesn’t remember doing anything like that to y/n.

On one of the days that y/n is away, the studio catches fire, taking the lives of the several cast members and leaving y/n devastated without a job.

Years later y/n investigate an abandoned warehouse that has said to have homeless people disappearing. To y/n’s surprise Mortimer is there and he seems more than delighted to see y/n again.

(Instead of offering you a Scout like in the game) Mortimer offers y/n a pretty female puppet that has a strong resemblance to them and is dressed in a wedding dress. Y/n don’t think much of it and put it on there hand.

But Mortimer casts a spell that puts y/n subconscious into the puppet bride. Y/n wake up later and demand Mortimer to explain himself. Turns out he’s always “loved” y/n and wants y/n to be his eternal bride. His spell has also put a time limit on y/n, for if they do not find a cure in less than 5 hours, then the spell will become permanent and y/n subconscious will remain trapped in that puppet forever.

Will y/n ever be free or will they spend eternity by Mortimer’s side?
