OMG I'm so dumb! For almost a year I've been assuming this was depicting Alexis being tied up in spider's silk. I don't generally enjoy spider silk DiD, but I still really enjoyed this one even with that mistaken impression. Which is such a huge blunder considering that "mummifying" is in the freaking title!
Now that I realize what's actually happening, I can appreciate this piece all the more!
