I've been talking about German Shepherds with my new friend ~FleshCreature lol, i think were making a novel bcuz are replies to each other are sooo long!! xDDso i got inspired to take a pic of my Bubbypants (as i like to call him

I used to love the breed. I've also had two. The first was a white female, named Shelly. The next one was black/tan male named Gunner. They never worked out for long.
My family only had Gunner for 3 days, a weekend, but school interfered and we didn't have enough time to train him to do anything with him, and he was killed by a car cause he chased my dad and bro to a highway.
Shelly we had for a few months. But she needed to run loose, not be penned up in town. We gave her away to someone who lived in the country.

Thats awesome, they are a terrific breed. wanna know something freaky? i also had a GS named Gunner O: and he got hit by a train

My bro was a kid at the time, and he had baseball practice, and Gunner wanted to go with them. He chased them. He was a guy's dog anyway.
I also recently had a dog, female, that resembles a white GS. Only medium sized. She was hit by a train too. Her name was Polar. She was the best dog my family ever had. She had some bad habits, but her personality was so mellow, she was the best. She was so cute! She lived to be 11. She didn't hear the train coming as she was rabbit hunting.
And being killed by the train spared us the money of having to put her down later. She had real bad arthritis too. Still, she loved her runs. She would put in her best efforts and run, and when she got home, she was sore as heck.

At least Polar lived a long life, but its sad that it had to end the way it did...

My dad had taken a neighbor home that day when they were on a run, and he went home, and Polar always took awhile getting home. Being slower and such. But she never came home that night.
She'd been out late and all night before chasing wild animals, but the railroad crew found her in the morning. They knew she was ours.
But it would have nice to see her live past 12. We also had a cat that only lived to be 12. The only pets that I have are the two cats I have left who are just about 10, and a horse that lives with an aunt, who is 10. I wonder if they will beat the record. Just need a few more years.
