Description
Dream your dreams at this quiet and lonely place that is usually under water. The wood of the trees has almost turned to stone, more than 80 years after they were cut down.Related content

Прямо так и вижу историю их отношений Всю жизнь они были опорой друг для друга и даже после смерти эта пара не смогла расстаться.

As a day-dreamer and a nature lover, I really apprete this: It's wonderful to have a quite spot, especially among the trees and by the water, where you can reflect on your thoughts or dream. I'd like to sit by the river and do that. Thank you for sharing this.

I think there were two dwarves here and turned to stumps in the picture! XD! Cool pic though! ( dwarves can turn to stumps to hide)

It was an army of dwarves. That was why I felt so observed at this location.

I like the hill side with the evergreen trees and the water landscape
interesting how the tree stumps are usually under water
I find it fascinating how wood can get petrified

Thank you. I guess it is some limestone mud that gets into the wood. It is not a real petrification, 80 years are much too short for this process.

I live in the Pacific northwest or Washington state and this photo reminds me of how it looks in WA state.

They must have tons of weight. I tried to lift one but there`s no chance. Must be nice to have one at home.

Oooh very nice. That light behind the logs (the glimmer and shine) really helps pop these tree stumps out!
