That's quite interesting... I feel as if you have almost conveyed the ugliness through the quality of this piece and the roughness of it all?
There is some interesting.. texture here, anyway. If you can call it that.
The composition is awesome and I really like the depth of field as well. The patterns on the ground add a bit more depth to things and... yeah, the square format works well here, I think.

Don't remember which texture I used, but I did use one, yes. And I also used my tilt-shift built-in setting, if I remember, which adds a lot to the depth of field. What an ugly place, actually, wouldn't like to live there...
