Cough Cough Cough

Aaron covered Asriel's mouth with her blanket as she coughed dryly. She had been battling a mean cold for two days so far, and he was right with her the whole time. His ultima side was probably pumping those protective instincts into his brain because she was in a vulnerable state. Although there really wasn't any danger, instincts are instincts. She didn't seem to be getting better, but she thankfully wasn't getting worse. His parents said that when she gets sick for the first time it'll be one of the worst experiences he'll ever have. And they were damned right. Aaron wished he could just cure her of this stupid cold, but to his dismay all he could really do was give her some (children's) Tylenol and a spoonful of honey just to ease her symptoms. He put his hand on her forehead, she was still quite warm.

Aph had been giving her warm apple cider and chicken soup. Lil' Azzy loved the apple cider and drank it regularly. Probably because it was sweet and felt good against her sore throat. But most of all, she was just tired. Aaron couldn't blame her, a lot of her energy was being drained by her immune system trying to tear the cold to nothingness. So she tried to sleep for most of the day.

"Daddy, i'm cold." Asriel's raspy voice finally croaked.

"I know cinnabun, it's just a fever, you'll get over it." Aaron said kindly.

"What's a fever?"

"It's when your body heats itself up to try and beat the sick in you."

"I don't like the sick. It's mean." She said, burying her face into his chest.

"You and me both Azzy."

Aaron pulled the blanket over her shoulder, and caressed her.

"Try to get some sleep sweetheart." Aaron gently consoled her. "It'll help you feel better. And when you wake up, mommy can give you more cider! Won't that be nice?"

Asriel smiled cutely. Even when she felt like a clogged sewer drain Aaron could still manage to make her happy. And that was all that mattered to him.

Poor bby Azzy At least Aaron's being a good Dad, with all his cute nicknames he's got for his sick bab AUGH MY HEARTTT.

I drew this one a while back and Asriel's design has slightly changed since then as clearly seen with my Sleepy Redraw, but I think it's okay. I still really have to work on anatomy. Apparently I had the mental function of brain dead shrimp because I had issues with the lighting, but I came back to make final adjustments and I redid the lighting in like three minutes and it looks worlds better. Hey me 3 months ago, screw you.
And yes this is canon to the Asrielverse. I want to really show the relationship between Aaron and Asriel because I think it is just the cutest, and is totally how I headcanon he would be like to his own bab.

Anyway I should shutup now qwq
