Another design concept of my friend's oc.

Hello again! I have been working hard to make this before Christmas as I will be very busy. So, here is Jax. The kid who was cursed by Genkaku during an accident. Now, in this Japanese inspired AU, I made him cursed to transform into a Kitsune. When he is in his Kitsune form, he can create fire from nothing, sprint incredibly fast, has super strength, can see in the dark extremely well, and can easily manipulate humans and objects. However, the more he uses his power, the more corrupt he becomes. Same thing goes if he stays too long in his Kitsune form.
The only way to keep the curse at bay is through wearing the amulet his father gave him. The omamori or protection amulet is used to protect people from evil spirits. Their power stays within the amulet as long as it is not opened. When the amulet it opened, all the magic leaves it and it becomes useless.

LORE ------

Burando, the branded one. He was once a normal boy before he was cursed by Genkaku, the hallucination demon. When his father tried to cheat the demon out of his prize, his son suffered the consequences. Jax was branded with the Mark of Sinners and was forced to wear the amulet at all times. His father feared that if his son ever took off the amulet, Genkaku would come for him.

"Why can't I go?" asked Jax.

"Because! There is evil out there in the world, and I don't want you to be tainted by it." Hiroko hollered.

"It is just a hang out with friends!" Jax yelled.

Hiroko slammed his fist into the table. The room fell silent as tears started to well up in Jax's eyes. Hiroko look at his son in anger, his breathing heavy. The two stared at one another until Hiroko got up from his chair. He moved closer to Jax until he was practically looming over him. His completion seemingly darker.

"I will not have disobedience in my house. Go to your room." Hiroko lowered his voice, but kept a serious tone.

Without a word, Jax rushed to his room, slamming the door shut. Hiroko was left in the kitchen to think about their interaction.

Inside Jax's room, he was curled up in a corner sobbing. All he wanted to do was go see his friends. But his dad wouldn't let him. And for what? Some "evil" that his father fears is out to get him? Is he afraid Jax will leave?

"No," Jax thought to himself. "All he wants is for me to stay cooped up in this house! To stay here and fear going outside. And, and this,"

Jax looked down at his amulet, it's yellow engravings glistening in the dim light. The symbols taunted him. Nothing was ever the same since the night he had that nightmare. When that monster came to take him.

"It's not real!" Jax shouted as he ripped the amulet from his neck.

The string snapped, leaving a small mark where is broke on Jax's neck. He threw it across the room. Jax panted heavily, staring at the amulet in disgust and anger. But then something happened. The place where the amulet broke on his neck started to hurt. Not thinking anything of it, Jax went to rub it. When he went to touch his neck, it felt hot. The pain started to get worse, it was like his neck had been burned.

Jax reeled back in pain, clutching his neck as he fell backwards onto the floor. The pain became unbearable and Jax let out a howling cry.

Hiroko sat in the kitchen, calming down from the argument with his son until he heard a scream. Loud thudding could be heard from Jax's room. In a panic, Hiroko rushed to Jax's room. However, what he saw inside the room was not his son, but a monster.
