Description This is a little design I came up with for a friend's oc.

Dakiamos   <--- his oc btw

I imagined an AU where everything was based around Japanese mythology. Now, this guy here is based off of numerous Yokai (Japanese demons/evil spirits). I took inspiration from the Western depiction of demons along with the Oni and Akuma from Japanese mythology. Seeing as I wanted green to remain his signature color, I had to think up a way to incorporate that. And I did!
Behold the Copper Kusarigama, or Copper Chain-Sickle. When anything in copper is burned it creates this greenish flame. Which was perfect for this design as his main fur color was already grey and I didn't want the chains to blend into his fur.

LORE -------

Genkaku, the Hallucination Demon. He once prowled the corners of Hell, branding wrongly accused souls with his fiery sickle. One day a greedy man by the name of Hiroko summoned the demon. He wanted to punish the man that wrong him. So he struck a deal with the demon. If Genkaku cursed this man with the Mark of Sinners, Hiroko would give up his only son as payment. The demon agreed and the deal was made.
Later that night, Hiroko awoke to a loud thud. Genkaku loomed over him, his piercing green eyes glowed in the darkness.

"The deed is done. Now it is time for payment." said Genkaku.

"What? No, impossible. I must see proof!" demanded Hiroko.

Genkaku reached out with his hand and produced a green flame. It lit up the dark room, revealing the demon's terrifying stature. Hiroko had to block his eyes to protect them from the sudden flash.

"Look, look! Look into the flame." Genkaku ordered.

Hiroko slowly moved his arms away from his eyes and stared into the flame. Inside, a picture of the man he wanted marked laying on the floor. His face was badly burned. The burn was still so hot, that it glowed a brilliant white. The burn was in the shape of a crescent moon, Genkaku's signature branding. Once Hiroko saw the mark, the flame disappeared.

"You have now seen the fruits of my labor. Pay up." Genkaku's voice boomed loudly.

Not wanting to actually loose his only son, Hiroko came up with a plan. He would trick the demon so he could never take his son away. Hiroko's eyes drifted to his son's room, where he was sleeping. Genkaku followed his gaze. A wicked smile grew on his grizzly maw. He quickly drifted over to the door and slowly opened it. Inside the room was a little bed, a few wooden toys, and a young boy about 10 years old, fast asleep.

As the demon went to collect his end of the deal, Hiroko grabbed an omamori amulet that was resting by his bed. Genkaku picked up the child and Hiroko lunged forward, placing the amulet around his son's neck. However, Hiroko had accidentally slipped the amulet onto the horn of Genkaku and his son's neck. The two screamed in pain. A bright flash filled the room, and Genkaku vanished.

Hiroko, glad to see his son alive, rushed over to comfort his son. His son was fine, except for the crescent shaped burn on his neck.
