I'm still waiting for our flowering trees to start blooming here.

Beautiful shot! Makes me want to go outside and... I dunno ... prune something!

I know... Me too! I don't know what to prune, though. So I'll settle on some lawn work! Raking and spreading some weed-and-feed.

Not only do I not know what to prune, but I'm currently living in a condo with no yard work possible (not as horrible as it might seem, eh?) and I don't even own a rake!
So, I'll later this afternoon, I'll grab a gin & tonic, a folding chair and go sit in the sunshine and read a book. That's my story and I'll stick to it..

Really beautiful. The petals feel like a child's project. Crepe paper gifts for a mother.

Wondeful delicate colors. I like how the yellow pollen of the right blossom stands out in the sunlight.

Yes, the golden anthers, the colors, and the shadows were a big part of the attraction for me.

March is a "female" month, they say in my country. Yesterday it was snowing. Today it's 18'C. And I saw a plum in blossom with exactly this huge and rich blooms like the one here (and Part I, the branch shot). It had blossomed overnight. In the snow. As if knowing what the weather will be like today. Yes, yes, some flowers know. We tell the weather by them. But a flowering plum? Heh!
