Description
EDIT: Did several minor changes...Azra, a female human Varisian cleric of Desna
A character from the Pathfinder novel, Prince of Wolves
A commission from Dave Gross.
She has 2 star knives, but adding the second turned out to "decomposed" the image more than helping it up.
I hope you like it!

on the plus side towards the end of the story she actually gifts the star knife to another character in the book. I fell in love with dave gross' characters and wish the pathfinder tales line would get settled and in progress again so I could get more of them . Nice work here.

Why is this ridiculous weapon so popular these days ?
Aren't readers sad, or annoyed, that their heroes die after just a few pages, impaled on their own blades at the first fall, jump down or tumble ?
Your art is very good though.

Thanks!
I guess sometimes "cool-looking" and "different" supercedes realism and functionality. I guess this is a common rule on fantasy equipment, like the classig chainmail bikini, the ridiculously big weapons or the impressive but unbearable huge spiked plate armors.

Ooooo....
I really really love this one! She doesn't /look/ at all like I thought Azra would look, but I like her a lot this way! One of my favorite pieces you've done, Hugo!

Thant's thething with fiction characters everybody has its own vision and sometimes when you see the illustrated one, it's totally different to what you pictured. Sometimes for good, sometimes for bad

awesome! I think that drawing only one starknife is also fitting for the character! Those who read the novel will understand what I meant, and I also hope to see Radovan in his regular state and especially his "ancestry" state done by your hand!

Raduvan was illustrated already by paizo, so sadly I won't be doing him now

Since Paizo has said they need a full character art to make a Pathfinder Battles mini, wouldn't it be cool if this is the pose they used to model Azra?

That would happen only if this piece was commissioned by paizo, which it wasn't...
But it would be DARN COOL if there was a mini of this one

This looks an awful lot like how I imagined Azra to be. I hope you eventually draw Radovan, maybe in both of his forms.

I'd like to do Radovan but he's already been illustrated by a Paizo artist
