THE OFFSPRING - You're Gonna Go Far, Kid (Quita Angie Cover) - YouTubeNew OC just dropped who dis?
Well, tis Moira! And I already like her
Will-O-The-Wisps aren't quite what they appear to humans - the wisp form that's commonly seen is a secondary state, a much lighter and less solid form useful for fast travel or escapism - such is highly valued by the blue fae. They're often semi-social creatures but some rouges act alone - such is the case with Moira. A young and cunning Wisp, Moira has a keen eye for fantastical creatures and more specifically their market value, earning herself a comfortable life when she isn't having to dodge irate customers - see, Moira knows her stuff, and she isn't about to hand over a rare and deadly basilisk to any old traveller. Sorry dude, it was just a regular snake. She actually cares quite deeply about magical beings and if she is about to sell the real life thing then the customer better prove themselves worthy or be fae like herself. Otherwise she doesn't mind a quick scam. Stick a couple twigs to a bunny and what human's gonna question a genuine jackalope huh?
Recently, her search for wonderous creatures lead her to a curious little village in the heart of the forest - there's two in particular that grab her attention, the first being a thousand year old Puppy with an interesting necklace. The second, and perhaps her main source of interest, is a magical golden eagle that doesn't seem like anything she's encountered before, probably due to the fact the eagle's presence itself is magical as it came from a book - Don Smurfo's book, and Somebody isn't about to let a vulpine little Wisp get her hands on his husband's eagle. Along with his two assistant agents, Elusory and his adoptive daughter Quixotic, Somebody is fairly determined to keep the Wisp behind bars - not that that works for very long, a Will-O-The-Wisps' Wisp form can simply float on through normal handcuffs and bars with ease, much to Somebody's increasing frustration. There's a bit of a catch too, Moira is - perhaps to further wind up the agent - a bit of a flirt when it comes to his daughter. Quixie isn't quite sure what to make of it - on the one hand she wants to help her dad and keep her other dad's eagle safe, but on the other she finds Moira fascinating, and there is ... something rather charming about her, deceptive or not
I do hope I can develop her and Quixotic further this year, I'm really looking forwards to it <3
