Hands touch, eyes meet
Sudden silence, sudden heat
Hearts leap in giddy joy
He could be that guy
But I'm not that boy

Don't dream too far
Don't lose sight of who you are
Don't remember that rush of joy
He could be that guy
I'm not that boy

*****

Here's another outlook on the short lasting Captain/Harold relationship I noticed a pretty big error on my piece And whilst it was a pretty good piece I may have to disregard it from the story line because the ages won't match up accurately for Amelia to be many years older than Anchor. Oh well, this stuff happens! Changes must be made See the last paragraph of this for the retcon:

Jeremy and Harold grew up together on Sodor, having known each other since Primary school. It was quite common for them to play in the sandpits together. You'd often see Harold with a little toy helicopter and Jeremy with a plane (unknowingly setting their futures). Throughout primary school the two were best friends, often having sleepovers and attending the annual flight shows together when their parents let them. It's during one summer flight show that the two befriend a rather cocky young kid named Travis.

Jeremy and Harold's friendship remained strong into secondary school where the two would begin to write their individual futures. Midway through, Jeremy catches a crush on his lifelong friend, but hides it. Harold does not appear to share the same back, being too focused on helicopters. Jeremy intends to ask his friend to the end of school prom, hoping to confess his feelings there, but is beaten too it by a popular girl who'd been eyeing Harold up for a week or two prior. Jeremy reluctantly agreed to go with his friend Travis, which ended in disaster as the boy had decided to try and impress the year by sneaking in alcohol and proceeding to embarrass himself. Meanwhile Jeremy spies Harold and the girl he took kissing on the opposite side of the hall, and later finds that Harold walked her home instead of waiting for him and Travis. All in all Jeremy would rather forget that night.

The following year the three attend Sodor flight school, but are put into separate divisions as they want to pursue different types of flights. Between breaks the three try to catch up, but it soon becomes harder as workloads are placed on their shoulders. During this time Jeremy dates a peer from his class, and forgets about his crush on Harold for a while - eventually he breaks it off when he discovers them cheating with another peer over text. Eventually, the three friends attend each other's final graduations and catch up the best they have in a long time before setting out on their paths. Harold joins the Sodor's search and rescue team, Jeremy becomes a jet engine pilot and Travis changes his identity to 'Tiger Moth' and becomes a pilot in the airshows. It's all going well, but Jeremy STILL has a crush on Harold. Now that they're adults, he decides any day now is a good time to tell him. Before long, the news of Harold's relationship with the SAR lifeguard reaches Jeremy's ears. It's the first time Jeremy had seen him In such a committed relationship in public, and Jeremy is left distressed, thinking he's blown all of his chances. It turns out they break up after 11 months. This time Jeremy knows he can't possibly miss his chance, but he doesn't want to appear too eager either.

A few months after the breakup, Harold is over it and has resumed his friendship with his ex, despite the initial awkwardness. Tiger Moth seizes a chance to help Jeremy out and make up for the awkward prom years before. He enlists Harold to help Jeremy with the flight show, and the two are able to reconcile the years apart. At long last, Harold shows signs of falling for Jeremy too, so the pilot makes his move. Turns out to be a pretty good move - less than two years later Jeremy becomes Jeremy Sikorsky at their wedding, and Captain is Harold's best man (Tiger Moth is Jeremys). Harold confesses to his husband that he hopes it wasn't a bad idea to have his ex as his best man, but Jeremy reassures him that Captain seemed happy. A few years later Harold becomes the best man at Captain's wedding, to which Jeremy says 'I told you so'.

This is cute! I love Harold x Jeremy so much but it would be interesting if there was more focus on the dynamic between search and rescue team members besides Belle and Flynn.

I thought it was fun episode, it shows that those who save the lives of others for a living (such as firefighters and other similar rescuers) are only human and capable of making mistakes.

I know what it's like to have favorite characters that have little screentime, I mean Diesel 10 would be a returnee at this point

Yeah, plus most fan content involving him portrays him as a complete monster, so it really sucks since good fan content involving him is much harder to find!

Same, I don't even mind him being an antagonist as long as he has a good reason for his actions which is why I loved him in DOTD and season 17 but not really at all in TATMR even though TATMR was part of my childhood.
