I've been playing Majora's Mask again and my goodness it's just as good as the first time! It's possibly the least conventional Zelda game that exists but it's story is BEAUTIFUL - and my favourite is Mikau, no contest, hands down. Deku Butler's son is pretty sad too :,c He was totally innocent. Darmani I don't find THAT sad because well … he was supposed to the hero. He made a reckless decision. True it's kinda bittersweet with the Elder's kid and the other Goron's but I'm actually more or less indifferent to it :/

But Mikau … I've cried IRL tears over. For those that don't know the story, he was the guitar player (more on that later) in a band called the Indigo-go's. After the singer (Lulu) Looses her voice and lays some eggs which are stolen by the pirates, Mikau goes after them, but is killed. Link later pushes him to shore, heals his soul and gets the Zora mask. Full information here: zelda.fandom.com/wiki/Mikau

It's also implied that Mikau had a romantic connection to Lulu (and they're my Zelda OTP tbh despite the angst) and if you go to the Beaver Brother's they think Zora link is Mikau. This isn't so sad until you realise Mikau was after the bottle to save Lulu's eggs. Yeah, that's when the waterworks start. And if you talk to her in link form after playing New Wave Bossa Nova she's all confused and asking for Mikau. Another bombshell is some fans think he may be the father as the baby Zora's react to his mask. So yeah. O u c h.

Anyway I was thinking of this song from Coco and I literally could not have thought of a more fitting song. It even has the guitar in it. I don't draw Zora's very often so it was something new! But I did OK for a first attempt XD

The only thing I would say about MM is that I wouldn't recommend it as a first Zelda game as it can get frustrating and isn't linear at all. Third or forth game tho, absolutely!!!! Do play!!!!!
