Humanised Backstories for the new gals! + redesign for Nia cause I thought her hair was very lazy before :/

Rebecca:

Rebecca Bulleid was a bright, perky girl from a very academic family. She was given a Scholarship to attend a Higher Ladies Grammar School. Although she was friendly enough, and able to cope with the basic tests, she found herself unable to compete with the other fiercely intelligent girls, who took great delight in displaying their IQ's. Rebecca found herself constantly distracted by the sounds of trains go by past the windows of the school, as it was built close to a station. She uses the library to research the engines, quickly becoming fascinated, and then spends many of her breaks alone at the station, learning and trainspotting. One day, she hears that a railway show is coming to the local area, and Rebecca is desperate to attend. Her desires are snubbed by her peers, who are more concerned with the theories of relativity than buffers and boilers. So, Rebecca goes on her own. She's awed by the sight of the engines and information, and meets a friendly old driver who tells her tales of the older days of engines, none of this streamlining nonsense. Rebecca becomes fascinated with the fayre, and takes part in a junior drivers competition and quiz. The other participants sneer at her school uniform, thinking her a mockery, but Rebecca outsmarts them all on the quiz - the first time she ever comes top. Inspired by this one experience, Rebecca passes grammar school to a satisfactory standard and then goes off to pursue a career as a driver instead, much to the shock of her family. They're originally dubious, but eventually accept their daughters wishes. Rebecca eventually lands a job after much searching - a little island called Sodor, and an engine to call her own.

Nia:

Nia Vulcan was born into a small African village in the heart of Kenya. The village was a simple place, and no resources were wasted. Nia was friends with Kwaku from the neighbouring village (neighbouring meaning rather a few miles), and she was a childhood friend of Kijani, one of the village's most skilled hunters - who was whispered to be betrothed to Nia, although she felt no romantic attachment to him in return. At one point, there begin to surface rumours of strangers on the outskirts of the village's grounds. After a few days, the rumours died down and the people forget about them. The village is peaceful for another few months. Then, there's panic. The people on the outskirts were poachers, after the ivory trade. They had heard rumours of ivory in the village and were desperate to get at it, no matter what the cost. Fire. Is a destructive force, especially when it's used as such. Nia won't ever forget the sight of those flames, or the screams … or how Kijani ran bravely to protect the village, at the cost of his own life. Nia had no village to go back to, and barely any friends. She was one of the lucky ones. The alive ones. She hid out in the open savannah, waiting. For something. Even her friend Kwaku couldn't help her as she was not born to that village. So she waited for someone to come along. Thomas did.

The two eventually settled down after getting to know each other during their time on Sodor, and eventually had Kito
