First of all I'm gonna say that I don't really know much about this kind of artwork, but I'll do my best to help you improve.

I see you tried to detail the feathers with a faint line art. It's a bit sloppy. But that was probably intentional. For detail, zoom in! Use a large canvas! I only use size 5000x5000px or bigger now. Next time, you should zoom in and spend a lot of time with feathers. You can also copy and paste them once you've made enough, which would make things quicker. [link] See the detail there? Go for that. Don't forget to use highlights and shadows when needed withe the feathers. Feathers are layered, so for example, feathers underneath feathers will be shaded darker. They would still have streaks of reflective light, though.
The only thing I see about the beack and the legs is I think you should of zoomed in and used more highlights on them. Dark shadows are nice as well.
The background is great, but a little distracting. I would suggest using a different color, like orange. The dark blue and white around it just takes away from the picture, I think. I think using a pale orange would look great, but maybe that's just me. x)

Well, good luck with you picture and I hope this helps! Can't wait to see it.

Oh my gosh! This helps SO MUCH! Thankyouthankyouthankyou

The program I use doesn't let me copy and paste things, and it starts to freeze when I use larger canvases, but I'm working on getting a program that lets me. Thank you for the larger canvas tip though, I should have known that would make detailing a lot easier!

Yeah the messy lineart/little feather detail was intentional, I was working fast, but I will detail the next one.

Again, THANK YOU!X3 This critique will definitely help me improve!
