I loved this character so much that I had to draw her (and her creepy pumpkin friend ) again. Gold and orange always remind me of the descent into fall; the harvest, the growing darkness, and that michevious, impish shadow that waits in the dark. No, not your pervy friend Billy. Something... magical
The Pumpkin Queen is a creation inspired by both scarecrows and Sally (ala NBC). There's something very devious about her, no?

Ok, at first glance the crow's wing looked like his hair and I was thinking you had Elvis-incarnate perched on a branch. But then I full viewed and the world made sense again.
Two things:
One, watch your tree branches. Very. . . odd. Grab a quick reference and you'll see what I mean. Too few branches O_o; I can see that this is a more 'cartooney' (I dared to say it) theme as opposed to realistic, but even so I think the piece would look better if the trees had a bit more realistic proportions.
Two, the Pumpkin Queen is my new hero. She's wearing what could possible be the thinnest dress I have ever seen, and it has to be cold out at night with that wind. . . yet she isn't nipping. That creature has breasts of steel O_o;
All said and done: Beautiful. Can't wait for next year's! = P

Ha, my trees are, well... my trees. They aren't exactly cartoony or real; I try to make them look more like an animal, or an animated being than a plant. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's what I liek to do

Sidethought: I think it's impossible to learn to be immune to the cold. >_O; I can only assume that it is as cold in Canada as it is in Central New York during winter, if not colder, and that you know what I mean. Freeezing O_o

Man, we lucked out. Where I live, near the coast, we get mild winters (well, compared to the prairies, that nearly died...). I mean, we're still getting a few 20 degree days (I think that's in the 70's in fareheit.) It's nutty o__O

I swear, I look between the last deviation of this chick and the one I am currently commenting on now...you sure have improved a crap-load over the course of a year! I mean...it's just...lovely.
Interesting how someone can use so much yellow in a single picture without pissing me off. (Major brownie points for that! Or in this case, Twinkies 
The way the background becomes so dark makes me think of an empty, endless void...
She is gorgeous! Gray skin with yellow socks is a pleasantly unusual combonation, and I like how the cats are a little simpler in design while still looking like they find me a good subsitute for their normal "Lonely Lawyer Casserole."
I don't find much critique for this. Her hand is fantastic, nothing I find wrong with the anatomy, but it does look like it was placed rather low and gives the illusion of the arm being longer than the opposite one.
