Dagnabbit, Nintendo. Your incessant shoving of this Shih Tzu down my throat is getting tiresome, except unlike other efforts, such as GameFreak's need to remind me that Lucario and Not-Lucario (that 5th gen thing, you know, the one that wasn't successful) are cool, this actually worked! And I don't care! Save some cute for me!

Shizue/Isabelle/Canela/[whatever else] is super duper charming, and I already sort of liked her anyway, but I think a combination of her video reveal in Monster Hunter (my goodness is she always that perky?) and that New 3DS Pamyu Pamyu bit has won me over. I haven't played an Animal Crossing since the first because I prefer games with a purpose and an ending, even(/especially) if the rest of it doesn't make sense (so that includes Wariowares and Rhythm Heavens). That said, I still found the game fun, and I like the conceit behind it all. It's a chibi universe of colorful, mostly cute if not funny looking animals living in a civilized world and that's essentially up my alley.

So with that, I ask, is New Leaf worth checking out or what?

(Also, I love her rabbit teeth. That's like an instant win in my book if the character has the charm to back it)
