Description
A digitally coloured drawing in India ink of a wren. The bird sits on a branch with some green leaves. The background consists of a soft collection of downy feathers in soft blue shades. This is very subtly visible He holds his tail jauntily in the air. The bird looks to the right and you can see it from the side. The colouring was later done digitally. There is also a non-coloured version of this bird in my work. I thought a colour version would be a nice addition to my gallery. The wren is a small, insectivorous bird with a remarkably loud song. It is a small stocky, sandy-brown bird of almost ten centimetres with a swooped tail. Its song is clear, with vibrating sharp trills. Its body length is 9 to 10 cm. They stand out mainly because they are so small and cute.
