Blender Cycles Render @ 5000 SamplesPart 1 Here: byron1c.deviantart.com/art/21s…
I wanted to get rid of the fireflies and found that 5000 samples was the minimum I could use to make them much less noticeable.
Note: This took 6 hours and 47 minutes on an i7 4770 with 24GB Ram! I couldnt use CUDA / GPU Rendering as it kept crashing on the scene
Comments and Constructive Criticisms always welcome

beautiful design with the lights in his fingertips. Modelling is also awesome because you really thought through how it is supposed to move. I really like the strings.
Materials could use a little work though. It looks a bit too clean although i think you added a slight bump map to his hands. Maybe some wear and tear and some dirt in the creases
All in all really nice concept keep it up

Great - thank you heaps for the feedback, very much appreciated Definitely some stuff to think about in terms of showing wear and scratches etc, even though it was meant to look new / recently constructed, it would still have some dirt and markings etc. Might have to make something like that as a bit of a feature (and something to learn!) for my next project.
Hehe, yeah, I spent a fair bit of time trying to make it how I would have actually made a robot hand. Though I did put the servos back, just so I could show off the cable/wire In reality I would have put them near each knuckle. I also got lazy and left an extra joint in the thumb... though I don't think people will really notice until Ive now mentioned it...
