Description Flight Rising is a is a browser-based game based around breeding, battling, and raising your own clan of customizable Dragons that also has its own deep lore and mythos. In the land of Sorneith there are 11 different element themed regions called "Flights" that are each ruled buy a patron deity, and each week Dragons of each Flight battle for dominance but they are also threatened by the forces of the Beastclan and the roaming all consuming void known to Dragonkind as "The Shade."

Fire

The Fire dragons of The Ashfall Waste are metalworkers. They prefer to be as passionate and intense as the flames they coax. Of all the dragons, Fire dragons are the most temperamental, and their red-hot fury knows no peer. Rare metal ores, weapons, statues, and tools are their favored treasures.

God: The Flamecaller
The Flamecaller (Also known by her subjects as Mather) is one of the first four dragon gods to be birthed into the world from the primal element of Fire. She and her fellow three worldly progenitors decided to end the magical chaos that had birthed them, spending the next few millennia forming the world into their own images. Flamecaller is proud, a little vain, but a hard-worker with a lot of ambition. She's somewhat aggressive and stand-offish, but when she warms up she is passionate and loyal as well as fiercely protective. She drives her brood to be strong and fearless with little patience for weakness, but will defend her land and children savagely.

Region: The Ashfall Waste

Holiday: Flameforger's Festival (Last week of August)

Eye Color: Orange

Native Dragons: Coatl and Banescale

Spirit Animal: Phoenix

Wind

The Wind dragons of the Windswept Plateau are explorers. They prefer to be joyful and carefree, like the gentle and playful breezes that whisk them to new lands. Of all the dragons, Wind dragons are the most friendly, eager to become a small part of every community they encounter before they eventually and inevitably leave, following the currents in pursuit of a new adventure. Maps, compasses, and feathers are their favored treasures.

God: The Windsinger
The Windsinger (Also known as Noodledad) is one of the first four dragon gods to be birthed into the world from the primal element of Wind. He and his fellow three worldly progenitors decided to end the magical chaos that had birthed them, spending the next few millennia forming the world into their own images. Windsinger is a Playful, frivolous, and fun-loving goofball. He's almost never serious and believes in enjoying life and pleasure at every moment he can. Everything is a game to him but in a light-hearted childish way and he doesn't take anything too seriously. He loves music, song, and dances. He's fond of all his children but not overly protectively, he prefers to let them learn to make it on their own.

Region: The Windswept Plateau

Holiday: Mistral Jamboree (Last week of March)

Eye Color: Light Green

Native Dragons: Spiral and Skydancer

Spirit Animal: Snake

Water

The Water dragons of the Sea of a Thousand Currents are oracles. They prefer to be as fluid as the waves and currents of the oceans. Of all the dragons, Water dragons are the most mysterious, predicting the many futures that may come to pass, but revealing nothing of what they divine to outsiders. Shells and magic orbs are their favored treasures.

God: The Tidelord
The Tidelord (Also known by his subjects as Tidedad) is one of the first four dragon gods to be birthed into the world from the primal element of Water. He and his fellow three worldly progenitors decided to end the magical chaos that had birthed them, spending the next few millennia forming the world into their own images. Tidelord has a serene disposition, usually calm and a little distant as he often is caught hearing things no one else does, whispering them as prophecies. Like the water, he is normally tranquil but when stirred up, he is a deadly serious force to be reckoned with. He enjoys the ebb and flow, and takes pleasure in simple, quiet things such as drifting with the tides. Quietly fond and infinitely patient with his children, allowing them the freedom to follow their own dreams and tides. Unfortunately on March 20th, 2018 the Tidelord mysteriously disappeared and has not been seen since, he has been presumed deceased.

Region: The Sea of a Thousand Currents

Earth

The Earth dragons of Dragonhome are monument builders. They prefer the consistency and eternal memory of the stone they shape. Of all the dragons, Earth dragons revere their ancestors the most fervently, and remember the most about the First Age. Gemstones are their favored treasures.

God: The Earthshaker
The Earthshaker (Also known by his subjects as Rockdad) is one of the first four dragon gods to be birthed into the world from the primal element of Earth. He and his fellow three worldly progenitors decided to end the magical chaos that had birthed them, spending the next few millennia forming the world into their own images. He is solemn and serious in demeanor, but appears to care deeply for his fellow deities even Flamecaller despite his animosity for him. He mourned their leaving after the shattering of the World Pillar and his sorrow over the years have calcifying his body into a heap of boulders. Earthshaker is honorable, a stern but fair father to his brood and He'll keep his word and his promises forever hence his continued vigilance over the Pillar, even though the rest left.

Region: Dragonhome

Holiday: Rockbreaker's Ceremony (Last week of November)

Eye Color: Brown

Native Dragons: Snapper

Spirit Animal: Ram

Light

The Light dragons of the Sunbeam Ruins are philosophers. They prefer to be unbiased and logical, revealing the nature of the world as do the rays of the sun. Of all the dragons, Light dragons are the most scholarly, holding the pursuit of truth as the highest virtue a dragon might aspire to. Scrolls and relics are their favored treasures.

God: The Lightweaver
The Lightweaver (Also known as her subjects as Glittermom) was born as a result of the combined conflict of the original four dragon gods, their magical essence is kicked up high into the sky and the sunlight gave birth to Lightweaver. Almost immediately after her creation, The young Lightweaver found herself irritated by the violent calamity her predecessors were causing below. Responding to chaos with spite, she brought painfully bright days to the world, contrasting and likely conflicting with the nighttime murk of her twin sister The Shadowbinder. She prefers the truth over moral 'right and wrong' and fairness is determined by the truth of the matter. She is studious and patient and endlessly fascinated with the workings of the mind and philosophy. She pursuits truth for the sake of it, and values that trait in her children. She prefers to look on the bright side of things but prefers to use clear thinking over emotional responses, however when pushed she has been known to jump to rash decision making, her thought process is still logical but lacks morals, such as the time a 3 headed Emperor wreaked havoc in Hewn City, an undead abomination made up of up to 11 Imperial Dragons who died in battle and their bodies were not kept separated. In response to this disaster Lightweaver said "I see the truth. Though it wounds my heart, the Imperials were a mistake that must be rectified." She however has not yet taken action against the Imperials probably due to backlash from just about every dragon across all of Sornieth standing up for their Imperial friends and family.

Region: The Sunbeam Ruins

Holiday: Brightshine Jubilee (Last week of June)

Eye Color: Yellow

Native Dragons: Pearlcatcher and Imperial

Spirit Animal: Rabbit

Lightning

The Lightning dragons of the Shifting Expanse are engineers. They prefer to be quick and intuitive, to better harness the power of the tempest under which they make their home. Of all the dragons, Lightning dragons are the most ambitious, changing the world to adapt to them, rather than adapting to the world. Copper wire, tools, and reactors are their favored treasures.

God: The Stormcatcher
The Stormcatcher (Also known by his subjects as Bossdad) was born as a result of the clashing between Tidelord and Windsinger stirring up roiling, violent storms. The cataclysmic energy created by their relentless attacks made the clouds themselves swell with anger. It was not long until the charged mass expelled a horrendous cascade of electric tempests, as well as a very frustrated Stormcatcher. Over time Stormcatcher has calmed down a bit, he's highly intelligent, fascinated by science, but a bit absent-minded in the fashion of a brilliant inventor. He might just stop what he's doing when a whim or idea strikes him, totally forgetting everything else for a while. Impatient with laziness and ambitious for the sake of progress. He cares less about 'winning' and more about knowledge. Brilliant, dedicated children are his favorites and he often snaps at those he thinks are not doing their best to give it. He has a soft spot for hatchlings though and encourages them with a sort of awkward gentleness, like an uncle that likes kids but isn't quite used to them.

Region: The Shifting Expanse

Holiday: Thundercrack Carnivale (Last week of July)

Eye Color: Cyan

Native Dragons: Ridgeback

Spirit Animal: Praying Mantis

Shadow

The Shadow dragons of the Tangled Wood are tricksters. They prefer to be capricious and fickle, like the flickering shadows they manipulate. Of all the dragons, Shadow dragons are the most enthralled by games, and delight most in winning—even if it means doing so underhandedly. Game boards, tokens, and pieces are their favored treasures.

God: The Shadowbinder
The Shadowbinder (Also known by her subjects as Shadowmom or Puddlemom) was born the equal opposite counterpart of Lightweaver in the first age but unlike any of the other gods she did not reveal herself immediately upon her birth opting to instead remain hidden in the darkness and watch the other deities, analyzing their behaviors and preparing a plan for how to eventually reveal herself. Shadowbringer is sly, cunning, and confident but only under her own cover of darkness, outside of her element she becomes nervous and shy. She isn't quite to be trusted as she is ruled by her own interests and whims. Has a sense of humor, but often a darker one, prone to play tricks. She has a fondness for her amusing children and is excellent at finding their hidden talents, such as the cleverness of a smaller 'weaker' dragon. She can be somewhat cruel though when the mood strikes her, lashing out or testing her favorites to see if they deserve her blessings.

Region: The Tangled Woods

Holiday: Trickmurk Circus (Last week of February)

Eye Color: Purple

Native Dragons: Nocturne

Spirit Animal: Bat

Ice

The Ice dragons of the Southern Icefield are collectors. They prefer to be as rigid and cold as winter's chill. Of all the dragons, Ice dragons are the least emotional, carefully preserving the world around them to be later analyzed and catalogued. Fossils and artifacts are their favored treasures.

God: The Icewarden
The Icewarden (Also known by his subjects as Icedad) was created in the first age as a result of the clashing between Flamecaller and Earthshaker. When the Earthshaker knocked the planet's tilt out of alignment and the Flamecaller created vents whose thick smoke covered the sun, the southern hemisphere was covered with darkness and coldness. An island at the new bottom of the world began to rapidly freeze over and The Icewarden was born from this frozen land. Icewarden values strength, endurance, and the ability to survive. He tends to be a little harsh and blunt. While normally controlled, when he does lose it, it's a cold deliberate rage and not pointless destruction. He is patient and willing to bind his time as revenge is best served cold.

Region: The Southern Icefields

Holiday:Crystalline Gala (Last week of January)

Eye Color: Light Blue

Native Dragons: Tundra and Gaoler

Spirit Animal: Snow Owl

Nature

The Nature dragons of the Viridian Labyrinth are druids. They prefer to be as wild and primal as the ancient forests they call their home. Of all the dragons, Nature dragons are the most nurturing, enjoying the care and cultivation of flora and fauna, spreading an overgrowth of life where once there was none. Seeds and rare flowers are their favored treasures.

God: The Gladekeeper
The Gladekeeper (Also known by her subjects as Glademama or Treemom) is the embodiment of flourishing and thriving life, she came into being in the third age after the fall of a great empire allowing wildlife to take over and thrive again, she is probably the eldest of the later three dragon gods. Gladekeeper is a very caring and protective mother but only of her own dragons, she can easily be set on a warpath when someone hurts her children and has an especially hostile relationship with her sister Plaguebringer. She desires to spread her forests throughout the entirety of Sornieth

Region: Viridian Labyrinth

Holiday: Greenskeeper Gathering (Last week of May)

Eye Color: Green

Native Dragons: Wildclaw

Spirit Animal: Stag

Plague

The Plague dragons of the Scarred Wasteland are survivors. They prefer to be as strong and adaptable as the plague they spread. Of all the dragons, Plague dragons are the most savage, and celebrate the cycle of life and death by constantly pitting themselves against the other elements. The bones and armor of their enemies are their favored treasures.

God: The Plaguebringer
The Plaguebringer (Also known by her subjects as Plaguemother) is the embodiment of death and decay, she came into being in the third age. Though life began flourishing, death leveraged the excess energy in another way. It haunted the land in the form of a spectral drake, gnarled with veins, pustules and sharpened bone. The Plaguebringer tested the worth of every sign of regrowth as she scoured over the surface of the realm, leaving behind a frightening scarred wasteland where only those of the strongest will to survive were allowed and would be tested constantly against her newest strains of disease. Plaguebringer is a stern and demanding mother, her philosophy is very simple; You survive the hardship of the Wastelands, or you don't. If you don't survive then you were never meant to exist in the plague, but if you do survive then you are a true warrior. She desires to spread her blight throughout the entirety of Sornieth.

Region: Scarred Wasteland

Holiday: Riot of Rot (Last week of October)

Eye Color: Red

Native Dragons: Mirror

Spirit Animal: Rat

Arcane

The Arcane dragons of the Starfall Isles are dreamers. They prefer the allure of the unknown and mysterious nature of the magical energies that bind the universe together. Of all the dragons, Arcane dragons are the most curious, pursuing their theories and their dreams, often oblivious to the effects that their dogged pursuits may have on the world around them. Meteors and runestones are their favored treasures.

God: The Arcanist
The Arcanist (Also known to by his subjects as Spacedad) is the youngest of the dragon gods, his birth marked the end of the second age of Sornieth and the beginning of the third. In the Second age a young mysterious race showed up who are not so subtly hinted at being Humans. As Humans do they grew too hubris and made a gigantic magical nuclear reactor that accidentally birthed The Arcanist but as a result blew the reactor and caused mass Magical nuclear Fallout that caused all sorts of weird effects like floating islands and mutant creatures. It's not explicitly stated but I am pretty sure that the races that make up Beastclan used to be Humans. The Arcanist is like part eccentric scientist and part curious child, he's a big loveable wacky goofball who is too smart for his own good at times. He will methodically study and test everything in order to understand all he can but he has little concept of risk and consequence often making big mistakes and having to deal with them afterwards. He once accidentally broke the barrier that protects the planet from The Shade because he wanted to know what it was.

Region: Starfall Isles

Holiday: Starfall Celebration (Last week of September)

Eye Color: Magenta

Native Dragons: Fae

Spirit Animal: Squid

(The only dragon that does not have a natural element is the Bogsneak because they were made artificially with Alchemy)

In Flight Rising takes place on a fictional continent called Sornieth that's divided into 11 regions based on the element they represent: Fire, Air, Earth, Water, Light, Shadow, Lightning, Ice, Nature, Plague, Shadow, and Arcane, and each one is ruled by an Elemental Dragon Deity. When you start you pick which element you want your clan to be so from then on every dragon born in your clan will be that element. There are 16 different dragon breeds currently that you are able to collect, trade, customize, and breed, and if you have dragons you don't want or need anymore you can exalt them to go serve your deity in the Dominance War where whichever element has the most amount of exalted dragons that week get's a bunch of bonuses like discounts in the market, all your Dragons get a power up in colosseum battles, and you get more turns to gather items and food for your dragons. Because they need food you have to be able to sign on at least every other day to feed them, they won't die if you don't feed them but they'll be severely out of energy. The game also has a bunch of lore
