"it loks like some kind of dragonfly of the gods" well they say that the name of Monarh is in the honour of King William III of England and the species, Danaus, is the name of a mythical king of Egypt and great-grandson of Zeus! So, without knowing or with his own knowledge... the artist made this particular thing very clear....
Oh and if you still wondering about some strange things....u should know that in Australia they call it the Wanderer. Isn´t this a beauty or what? fave it love it! Congratz!

I agree with *balthasarcraft It looks loke a HUGE dragonfly, but if you ask me it looks like a machiene too, all the circles are like gears
